Does anyone have any advice on 1, finding Temna, and 2, killing Temna? I want to get a number of Vile Despicable crossbows so as to upgrade to an uncommon at very least, preferably legendary or epic over time.

Defeating cabalists is easy if you are high level, but there are things you can do to make your life easier... try to attract their attention and get at the edge of the siege where the defenders are. I used my pet to deal with the cabalists, but there are different strategies based on your build.

 

Spoiler: Tip

Use cursor mode and while holding the right mouse button for mouse-look, use the turn-left and turn-right hotkeys to strafe left and right. This will ignore confusion for strafing.

 

temna's crossbow is currently not tiered and so cannot be combined.

 

Blink in the Air Magic tree is very useful against confusion.

If you never faced a cabalist before, chances are you cannot solo any of them. If this is the case, be sure to gather a party with a tank and a healer. If you open a party in the Looking for Group window you'll probably find some high level players willing to help, myself included.

 

Temna if you have +100 lvl, easy kill.
If 2-3 Cabalista - it's so hard, but real )

As an archer, at lvl 100 I usually got wrecked by any cabalist.

 

At 128 adv level, I kill all the cabalists all the time. When I was at 100, it was a difficult fight. I still have not beaten Avara, but I think it is just my build that is the problem. That said, I have never gotten a vile drop ever. So waiting for the drop if it can even be combined is out of reach in reality. Get your crafting up, and maybe you can enchant something good. I have you marked so if I ever get a drop that can be combined, I will send it to you.

 

The finding part is pretty easy. I always used to use this to track cabalists https://www.moongatetravelers.org/index.php/encyclopedia-britannia/siege-mapper

Haven't used it in quite a while, so I can't confirm it's still in sync without checking, but I imagine it probably is.

Temna is also one of the four that spawn in Lost Vale cabalist room iirc.

I'll try to get all the artifacts tiered for R89. Might have a few to finish for R90. I should probably focus on the cabalist ones first for sure. Those seiges are so awesome and it'd be nice to see people enjoying them again. Cabalist have gotten SOME love in loot lately, but this is a really good one.

 

OMG Elgarion I will love you so much if the Cabalist can be tired, how about a Cabalist Dungeon pretty please?

 

I must have killed 100s of cabalist, never got a hood or weapon. I lost hope at some point.

 

Same here, I finally got a hood just this month.

 

If they're tiered, I'll adjust the drop rates significantly so Commons will be much more common than the previous drop rates. Trying to get rid of these ridiculous grinds and ultra rare RNG. I'd rather give you guys 1000 things to do than 1 thing to do 1000 times, so to speak.

yes please and thank you to go along with the 1000 things to do... i think we need to document all the different wave battles in the game too. if that documentation is out there i havent found it yet. through data mining the public api i rediscovered the wave battle at Sequanna Colossus. i was surprised that i had completely forgot about it... we get so focused on what is hot right now or what is currently feeling the love, we forget about all the great stuff in the world of SotA. we need awareness to rip the blinders from our faces

i just thought of a new page we could make. kinda like the "take me to a random page" on a search engine. a page that will suggest an adventure in SotA if you are looking for something to do. i think it is Twistar that has something like that in his discord channel, but a limited amount of scenes. all right... im going to make this happen

 

I think the Sequanna battle is only a few releases old.
