As shown below, Dragon Kibbles give a +50% Melee and Ranged Crit bonus . I am assuming that the "Melee" reference includes what we see as "Auto" on pet damage. However, the other part of the buff is "Ranged" . Since we have no tamable pets that use archery, and "ranged" is separate from magic attacks - I'd like to know the rationale behind adding "ranged" to a pet food ?
Probably just that they don't have those buffs separated... I've only ever seen them as one buff... like with berserker... but never just melee crit or ranged crit.
After posting this, I did some tests with my pet and have subsequently reported that Dragon Kibbles have virtually no effect on pet combat. No increase in "melee" or in crit change.......
We just added a separate one in for melee only as a new buff type for R88 and is available on these 3 foods, probably just going to leave on pets though for the reason Cora stated, future proofing. Mutton, Lettuce, & Tomato Spiced Tea Coelacanth Chips Player Food Spreadsheet - Google Sheets
Thanks to all above for your input. As far as Dragon Kibbles is concerned, it's all a moot point now since the food does virtually NOTHING AT ALL for combat damage of any type. Here's (below) why I say that and it's all in my bug report. .
