Yes, you will have to experiment on high level creatures until you can find one that will work for your skill levels.

If your goal is to train taming, what you are doing will work regardless of how many collars you go through. But, if you really want to tame some of the razorbacks, don't forget to fight them so their health goes down to 1/4 of full health. Your taming chance will go way up when they get damaged to 1/4 full health.

And, if you are trying to gain taming at the fastest rate, don't forget the obsidian potion of guidance. This potion will make even more of the pooled experience go to the taming glyph on each success or failure of the taming glyph. And, if you have a group to level experience with, go ahead and get as much experience pooled up as you can. These days some players are keeping 200 million experience pooled so they can pick and choose which glyphs to level really fast.

I have read every page of the thread, but I have some questions please.

1 - I see that the obsidian destroyer needs 89 to summon pet. Do all destroyers need the same level of pet summoning?

2- I have read somewhere about stealth combat pets, have they been implemented yet? If yes, which pets are stealthy? If not, which pet is better to accompany me when I go stealth? Maybe a destroyer would be good?

I would like a powerful pet, and destroyers seem to be the best, but I don't want it to be a danger when I'm stealthy.. Now I do bow combat and carry a nightmare, but I would like to try stealth and daggers combat, and carry a suitable pet. Can you advise me, please?

    Hi.

1 - Yes right now all destroyers have summoning of 89 (from what I have seen).

2 - No, stealth combat pets have not been implemented. None of the pets are stealthy. BUT what I recommend is getting a Legendary Crocodile. Sneak up on your target, do your back attack stealth attack thing, then summon the croc and he if he is marked Aggressive he will auto attack your target. Crocs have the fastest attacks out of all of the tamables from what I have seen.

Your nightmare is a great pet too. The Nightmare has a fire breath area of attack which may hit another target of yours in the distance. That is why I am recommending the Legendary Crocodile.

If you need help taming a Legendary Croc, I can help you with that too.

Thank you very much for your advice, I will try a couple of pets to see which one I feel more comfortable with.
I also appreciate your offer of help, but it is not necessary that you help me to tame it, I am not a tamer and I will buy the pet from a player.
Thank you so much for everything :)

What's the best tamed pet to use as a gathering bodyguard? I have a 2 year old, so I insta afk pretty frequently. I was thinking that I could still do some stuff like mining if I had a pet that would reliably kill some random low level mob that wanders by before it hits my gear a million times.

I'm not too fond of bears or anything else that knocks back mobs or is really big and annoying in confined spaces.

With your requirements above I’m going to suggest a unicorn they have a breath weapon and they also have a powerful physical attack.

Cannot tame a Red Snarler. Tried the usual but greyed out glyph. Taming at 140 so not sure if this is enough?

They may be another creature that can only be tamed with Taming Spec?

Tame creature at 140 and taming spec at 120 should give you a <1% chance. You can tame one but it will take a long time.

I raised mine to tame creature 160 and taming spec 135 and I get 13% now.

what concerns me is the greyed out icon. Are you taming the red snarler for the quest? One quest where you need a red snarler tongue. The ones I tamed were running around with other wolves in a pack. Like 8 wolves total.
