I always found it strange that I have to essentially walk into aggro range of a target to ask my pet to attack it. It causes weird aggro issues at the beginning of a fight. These pets all have better senses for detecting enemy location than I do, and my pets are eager for battle. Please review and see if an increase in range makes sense. Thanks.

I dont have an issue with the attack range.
I will run towards a mob until I can attack it (so its my attack range, not the one from the pet) and then I order the pet to attack.
Unless I am careless this will be always outside of the mobs aggro range.

Yeah I have been paying attention and I think the issue i have is related to movement. If I am moving or the target is moving there is some clunkiness to the pets response to the attack command. Instead of the pet attacking it snaps to face the target then just sits there. I still think that increasing range would help fix this.

Have you set your pet to defensive mode?
If set to attack it will often ignore or delay commands.

Let's be honest, using pets requires great amounts of patience. They're sluggish and unresponsive overall.

I often find it hard to 'command pet to attack' something I can see but I am just a little too far away from.. the pet just stands there until you get closer.. and like BT said, by that time, the mob can aggro you.

I haven't tried being smarter about it tho.. ie: using stealth .. BT maybe try using stealth to get closer until maybe the distance can be increased? I don't think order a pet to attack un-stealths you (which some might consider an issue)

In further testing of this, I think it is an issue of pet responsiveness. I have to BEG a croc to go at a target, but the corpion never has any issue.

You are "spot on" @Bridge Troll
Just last night a friend and I had our pets out and were hunting.
Both pets had the exact same foods on them, and both had a stacked Frenzy on them ( from the same person, me ).
Mine was a Legendary Croc and his was a Ferocious Black Arachnid.
We watched and repeatedly the spider would run past the croc and attack a mob that was closer to the croc, while the croc just ignored it.
