I really like where this is going. You might want to think about a couple potential issues...

1. Some vendors are for guilds and often have things selling under cost.
2. Fake sales may be attempted to game the market using alts or conspirators.

Not easy issues, just putting it out there to consider.

Can I get the client please?

 

I have to say I really like the effort on this. The client app is simple, multi-platform, and not intrusive as it only runs when a user runs it and only long enough to parse and upload the messages. I think the overall idea of doing this is brilliant and the website delivery is excellent as well!

I think it is almost ready for prime time, except for some problems with the source data. Specifically, when an item is labeled or the items has different types, like casks, the mail input lacks the information required to properly identify it in the database. This should be an easy thing for the game to include, since it has all the information. Perhaps @Elgarion can put a good word in and have the mail improved just a bit to bring this project over the finish line. I added a wish list in a separate post on this specific item. New version of the client is out. No more need for an API key or signup!!!!

 

Thanks for this efford, its awesome to see an app like this nowadays. This can be something big later on if we all put a hand and can resurrect an important part of the game if the economy balances finally thank to it. I would like to participate even if i am not a big trader, but every ant forms the nest.
