Duke Island Castle

I like the idea of a few 'independent' islands with a single plot on them. However, you wouldn't need 32 of them, because I am sure at least several of the Dukes and LotMs will want in-city plots... plus it said pretty clearly that not everyone who had a waterfront home option would be able to actually get waterfront property, as they were very limited. I would think a dozen or so of these little islands would be plenty; maybe even a half dozen.

 

I like the fixed island idea, was actually also what I imagined when I read that Dukes & LoTM get a castle on their own island.
I hope they revamp this a little, or at least provide different options.

This goes more in the direction what I envisioned a Dukes, or LoTM castle to be (Just imagine an island around it, and a castle inside the walls

 

It seems to me that you pictured something a little more sprawling and a little less tall and on an island? That would be cool, too. One of you guys had better host a party with a tournament at launch!

 

Perhaps due to technical limitations they're building up rather than out. But yes, I totally agree that they should have variations that aren't as tall but are much more wide, more sprawling across the land. That really gives it more of a palatial feel than even a 10 story building on a small lot. This goes for both land and water based properties.

 

So I was looking around the duke castle today and feel like it has very small rooms. The stairs should be moved out of the center to open up some more same and then knock down the walls that form the smaller rooms to the front and back.

This would give lots more room for party's

I know this one is on a island but more windows or a back deck would be nice. Love the roof but again the stairs coming out in the middle makes it much smaller area.

So can a duke build other places then on a island? also will there be more city lots around in smaller towns. maybe smaller numbers of sites.

Personal I don't need a jousting area but a cleaner layout in the house, maybe just one big room (not on all floors) would be great.

 

I think part of the issue is that players need the freedom to put their house wherever they want. So lots have to be roughly the same size, so houses scale vertically more than horizontally.

 

Can you get on top of structure on the roof? The view from there would be awesome.

 

I could not find a way up to the top of that cube, but it'd be great if they gave me a ladder.

Well, it looks like they added Castle Lots now.

 

I don't think the Castle lots apply to the Duke Island Castle.

 

If they did include Castle lots for the Duke Island Castle, i would seriously consider upgrading to the Duke pledge.

 

I won't unless the king pays for my promotion - although I really like these buildings.

Some version of it will be available to be placed on a regular land plot.

 

I'm hoping that it appears similar enough that people recognize them to be the same building for the most part... I think entryway needs a tweak and edges but besides that it's nearly ready for city lot
