I see in wiki there is a reduction in the amount of exp returned when using unlearning and in greater unlearning in wiki there is no mention of any reduction. I also see in the coto store the discriptions of each of these, that there is no mention of any reduction in the amount of exp returned when either is used.

I do not know what is true and what is false or what is missleading information. Which is fooling me and which is not?

I do not want to be an archer now. I do not know what weapon I will use, but I do not want to loose all the effort that was invested. I do not want to be fooled when using these.

What should I do to use these and what should I not do to use these? Does the arrow need to point down or not? All the information I see is very old and all is confusing because allot of it is in contradiction.

I am Thai, but I can read a little Japanese. I prefer to read and write in English. Thank you for any answers.

Using an unlearn scroll is 100% return, if the wiki says otherwise it's wrong

My understanding is if you set an individual skill to "unlearn" (ie the red down arrow), it will gradually return the XP to the pool, with a loss of XP, whilst using the scrolls you get back 100%.

Edit: Vesper beat me to it ;)

It's 50% return unless they explicitly set it to 100% return, which they sometimes do when they make changes to a skill.

So, it's better to unlearn through the purchased items (Unlearn and Greater Unlearn) than it is to set the arrow to unlearn?

*I'm trying to teach my wife how to learn to play the game, because the more we here encounter her problems or questions, then it will make it much more easy for her to interpret when we have SOTA events here at internet cafes.

and you know me... I'm no ...ing help on anything that requires deep sota knowledge

Updated the wiki to specifically state 100% recovery of xp.

I guess it depends on how much experience you have invested in a skill and how much you value that experience.

    Thank you both!

The idea here is to get her use to knowing how to get information through actually asking and in the right places to ask and how to ask, then she can relate and share with others.
    Thx again!
