Since we have adventure pool, crafting pool, how about PVP pool?

So, if I'm understanding you correctly, this would give us the ability to have a total of 4 "spec'd" skill trees as opposed to the current 2 "spec'd" skill trees ?
Do I have that part correct ?

Just as crafting pool is only gained and used while crafting the pvp pool should also be gained and used while flagged. The skills from that pool will only show up on the PVP tree along with the two specializations. This tree can only be used when flagged. If they use the PVE tree, the skills revert back to their normal state. PvE does not need help motivating people . PVP does.

Yes, I'm assuming this might take a lot of coding? That is why I posted it in general discussion rather than as a wish list.

I read Krovakin's mention of a "2nd spec" as meaning specification i.e. build rather than specialisation. You don't really spec a skill tree in the latter sense, you spec skills in the tree. Usually when I've heard people talk about their spec outside SotA they mean their character's build/template.

Basically you would have 2 full trees that act the same so adventure tree 1 and 2 I am calling a full adv tree a "spec" and your 4 masteries "masteries". They both have identical XP and you can have 4 masteries BUT only 2 in each adv tree. So long story short you will still only have 2 masteries.

It would be the same exact way we have skills now.... but you can go to town and switch to your other adv XP tree. I like BEE's Idea too about it being specific to pvp but there is 2 issues with that.... 1- it would be very hard to pull off, and 2 - it would be hard to determine what is a pvp skill or pve.

The reason I am suggesting this way is so people can have 2 adv trees with the same pool in each tree, they can then decide what they want to do with the 2 specs. (2 specs aka 2 trees 2 masteries per tree) so nothing changes from what it is now at all, but you get a whole 2nd choice of skills that you can use for things like PVP without affecting your current PVE tree.

Hope This makes more sense and didn't confuse people more.

Getting relevant builds for effective pvp is super cheap. I likely have 1/3 of the xp in my whole character than Jemma and I feel as though I'm reasonably competitive. I know for certain I've spent 1/6 the xp as Revenant for sure. And thats spread thin, for pvp and PvE, skill capped zones make this more true

This is my idea more for the lower players who do not have enough points to spread it thin but would be able to make a decent pvp spec and a pve spec. Just an idea I'm not dying for this :) just a thought.

In AL capped zones, bringing skills up to that cap, aside from mutually exclusive ones and wardings, etc. Accomplishes that.

Faction skills with faction kills exp?

Whether or not we have factions as a supported mechnic in our game or not, "we have social factions none the less". This fact presents itself in almost every form of "social click" there is within our game. Some players are included, some are excluded and many more are admited or invited to social faction clicks through baptism or rites of passage participations.

It is for those very human things which we naturally do in groups and to group that I remain confounded why our game does not support those natural human forces through game mechanics.

    I like factions.

I really like this approach…I would PVP in a heartbeat if this plan were to be implemented. Also how do pets scale in a PVP environment ?

Also would Daggers/ Subterfuge be a viable approach in PVP ? I’m really clueless here….

I think this is still a very great idea I'd like to see in the program!

I was hoping this was how all the shardfalls were being set up when I heard about the level caps.

I think adding any more confusion to leveling up and character creation is really unnecessary at this point. I'm against separate pvp xp, what we have now with the adv/prod is already confusing enough for people.

So ultimately your just giving us all 2 adventure trees? So each character gets 2 entirely separate builds? Hey im all for that, but I'm not going to hold my breath for that being implemented. :D
