Blind: does it even work?

It makes sense that fire elementals are immune to fire magic or that undead are immune to death magic but you also think it makes sense that shadow creatures are immune to sun magic?

 

I mean, in a sense, I can see it. I agree, I thought sun should have been buffed against those monsters instead of rendering magic completely useless, but like Cora said, opposing schools could very well block each other out instead, much like raising fire resistance through Warding is done from the water tree, and the same goes for all the other schools.

I dislike it, but understand it

 

Undead are supposed to be vulnerable to Sun magic. However, ghosts, who have very high damage avoidance, are conveniently resistant to blind.

 

Are shadow creatures immune to all sun magic or just Blind?

 

Did this ever get looked at?

I'm thinking no.

 

By the time I cast Blind, I could have just killed a lower level mob. All higher level mobs that this skill would actually be useful against are either highly resistant or outright immune. So, why does this skill even exist?

 

Probably for PvP?

 

I'll bet it's worthless in PvP too.
