Out of curiosity, because I have been trying and trying and trying to just find a single Pristine Obsidian Wolf Head, I was checking the API and discovered it seems to be set around 2.6%?

    Last 7 days:
1,106 Obsidian Wolves Killed (note, killed does NOT mean they were skinned)
46 Ferocious Obsidian Wolves Killed (note, killed does NOT mean they were skinned)

859 Obsidian Wolf Carcasses dropped (These are only obtained from skinning)
31 Pristine Obsidian Wolf Heads dropped

That's a 2.6% drop rate. Is this supposed to be set THAT low?

    @Anpu
When I look in the chat log for how many mobs were slain, I search for " " xxxxxxx "has been slain" (xxxxxxx being whatever mob it was).
When you search the API, is "has been slain" what you look for ?

If you go to this website, all you need to do is type the item/creature/scene name and you will get the API results (A big thanks to @Tirrag )

Thx @Violet Ronso - and that IS a great tool !

I'll ask @Tirrag how the API is parsed exactly... :)

The reason I'm asking is that the chat log will very often credit more than one player/pet for a single mob death, so it will show several slayers for a single mob at the exact same time.
So, if I searched my chatlog for Pyre it often shows that it was killed several times by different players/pets when it was only a single Pyre kill - all showing up at the exact same time.

Here's what my chatlog showed for a SINGLE Pyre kill (note all at the same second).
So, if the API search shows the same several kills - then it would be way off.
Depends on how the parsing is done - and most importantly - whether it accounts for what the chatlog notes as time of death..........

that data is based off the SotA public API data so in theory would not be susceptible to to the duplicate tracking, though i cant be positive on that. @that_shawn_guy has more experience with API data than i do so maybe he can confirm. if it does track multiples then it would be an issue with the SotA event system logging.

As far as I can tell, the API does not have more those duplicate killers. My guess is the chat log is showing "contributors" in a group where the API is showing kill credit.

I will double check the raw data for that day and report back if I find any signs of a duplicate.
