Why does my air elemental have 775 strength and only 30 dexterity and 25 intelligence?

Because they only do physical attack damage?

It's lightning and the damage is pathetic. Actually, may be you're right. The damage isn't that pathetic.

I used Fireflies on a practice dummy and it's crit damage went way up, so yeah, it's physical.

[edit] Now I'm thinking that I might train Summon Air Elemental to 140.

Does it actually attack? I thought the main problem is it would just float around and do nothing.

Yeah, it actually has a decent range now. I setup hotkeys for "attack my target" and "teleport" and it's actually been pretty fun using the air elemental.

Does anyone know if summoned pets can use collars, toys, foods, etc?

I think collars are only used to tame animals. As for the rest, I think the answer is no, but I'm not certain.

The pet character sheet shows collar, toy and accessory slots, so I was just curious if those things worked with summoned pets... pet food too. Not a big deal if they don't but it would sure add to the fun.

Ah, I see. I thought you meant taming collars.

LOL, yeah. Gustball is a good one.

Are these things even implemented for tamed pets? If so, what do they do?

So I tried pet food and it does nothing for summoned pets. :( I assume the other things won't work for summoned pets too.

There's specific food for the summoned elementals. For your air elemental, eat some Gingerbread (+20 Summon Air Elemental). :D

The equipment slots from the pets/summons sheet don't have existing items for them yet

Am I the only one that thinks it's totally lame that Air Elementals don't deal Air damage?

Considering the amount of things resistant/immune to air damage, no, I think it's actually the best move possible, at least they can deal damage.

Isn't that a cheap move to overcome a basic design flaw?

I'm just happy that there's summon in a tree I have developed that is actually worthwhile.

I mean I do not care at all if they make the Air Elementals damage Air damage, I don't use it, but Trolls are highly resistant, Shadow monsters are immune, Air elementals are or should be immune, and all caster types are resistant. Doesn't feel like a design flaw, seems like a nice system where things have resistances and weaknesses.

If you want your air elemental that only uses auto attacks to be resisted by a big portion of the games mobs, go ahead, the Wishlist Forum is right here!
