Well, for a long time I thought that skill specialization gave a little bonus (percentage regarding the level of the specialization) to the innates skills. But they don't, and I think it's a shame.

Could it be possible to add this feature in a future release maybe? (I know it would take a lot of balancing)

    Thanks!

I like the idea, but I do think balance could hurt a lot from this.

Specializations were supposed to be small bonuses, but in some trees they became huge improvements, like how the fire tree gets a ton of fire resistance debuffs, the death tree gets insane Fizzle chance reduction on top of resistance debuffs, etc. Adding spec effects to weaker school's innates could work, and already happens to the Subterfuge school, but once again, I don't think all school's should get them, Fire, Bard, Air, Death and Taming for sure don't need this off the top of my head, and I'm sure there are others.

@Vesper What is the "creep" that you speak of here ??

I'm no specialist on the subject, but I don't perceive this wishlist request as a source of power creep.
In my understanding power creep is generated when you introduce new content / features that render older ones useless / pointless.
Again, I may be mistaken here, but I feel this is more like a power inflation than legit power creep.
What's the difference then? Well, power creep kills content, while power inflation may demand balancing to fit the game.

That being said, if it's added to the right skills and it's not game breaking, I'm totally fine with the suggestion.

By adding small benefits here and there, the players power is going to "slowly creep" up higher than it was.

Like you said, if they use it on the right skills and schools that actually could benefit from this, aka those further behind in terms of desirability, this is fine, but the trees I listed and potentially more could result in another round of "balancing pass" that we hate so much.

The reason is that due to so many different factors affecting the outcome, it's hard to predict when one seemingly little change could be blown out of proportion by the right set of players.
