Ring of the Deep Woods

First time I've seen this one. Pretty crappy though.

I can see very specific builds to which that would fit nicely, anyone who wants to RP a druid specifically

Which is why I'd salvage it for the essence and use that essence to combine an artie that IS worth something.

 

Wow, as a long time player I thought you had seen pretty much everything in the game.

 

True. Having some crappy artifacts makes it easier to decide what to scrap for essences.

I just got one this morning. But I've seen them before, probably because all wisps have a small chance to drop the savage sash of swiftness, so I never pass up a chance.

 

Well, at least crown store gear doesn't have any negatives.

 

I'm in the process of saving these up at the moment, then going to try and farm up a bunch of Xen staffs. I think there's an interesting Earth/Moon build that I'm anxious to figure out. Earth attunement also boosts the Heal over Time on torpor. So this ring gives max earth attunement in the ring slot (+20 after gem) as well as +10 life attunement at epic. It's got great potential as a tank ring.

All in all I really like this artifact. It's not an obvious best in slot of the more common/popular builds, but it's one of the pieces that really lets people who want to understand builds and push them to their limits have a lot of fun.

 

It might have been mentioned in a release notes which I glossed over and missed, but that's the first time I had ever heard of it. It's good to be surprised every once in a while.

 

It was a common drop from a rare named lich in Deep Ravenswood before being added to wisps.

 

there is always things even for us long time players that we never seen before.... found a book with a unique cover in a scene I never visited before. I think there are probably a bout 500 scenes I have not seen yet as they are lower tier and I out leveled them before even getting a chance to check them out.

 

also seems to be dropping in Spindelskog as well.

 

I have a Moon/Water mage I'm leveling with some Life magic support and I'm seeing it as pretty darn powerful. The Moon portion is specifically good with Shooting star and Meteor Shower...The water is mainly for support but it seems to be working out pretty good for me so far. Some of these magic trees are very under utilized and this ring definitely fits an earth/moon build very well. There are much worse arties out there for sure.
