If that's not heaven on earth, it's pretty close.

 

Lord British's exploits throughout his life have always lead me to believe that one day he will be selling a subscription based internet game whereby each player pays for time to use small robots on the Moon to dig, preparing an ground covered Moonbase for human inhabitation.

 

Yeah Lord British is really another kind of animal. A living legend for sure!

 

I am really puzzled how some people here can still idolize him. Sure, cool exploits and stuff. Like those as much as the next guy.
What rubs me the wrong way about those exploits though is that they cost a lot of money. And a quite a few of the promises he broke could have been fixed with money. The least of them but also the simplest example being the book that "did not fit in the box".
That was a problem he could have just thrown his own money at to fix. If he had wanted to. Which obviously he didn't.

I could list tons of other stuff - well, probably not on this forum I can.
Point being: Yeah cool guy. High on the valor scale. Honor, honesty, justice, sacrifice, compassion, humility though? Meh. Who cares... he was in space!

 

Hmm that's not how business work.

Personal money and company money are different things.

-Note: Destroyers hate builders and dislike maintainers. Now, think of cities in America. Think of destroyers attacking history, monuments, cultural norms. It is rare to find a Builder. Support them in any way you can.
-Keep insisting 2+2=4 even when you are tortured to try and make you believe 2+2=5........ Let your motto be: 2 + 2 =/= 5

 

Why ? I always thought that crowdfounded tech startups in the countries with strong reputational institutes work exact this way.

 

that is both true and beside the point. As an individual you can still make your own decisions.

 

I didint mean "idolize" quite that literally, but thanks for the demonstration.
