My order arrived today, didn't see any other thread about it in the forum so figured I'd just share it here.

What is interesting when I received mine last year it did not have a paper insert that says "challenge coins +"

 

Yep, I recently ordered a second batch to give out to more friends and family as well. They're really good t-shirts! Hope to see more designs or colors.

 

LOL I know exactly where that office for the Challenge coin is, hehe! Driven by it quite a bit!

 

Question: Do the people who have a pledge tier that includes the coin, get it now or after release?

 

Right now people have the opportunity to increase pledge tiers. I think it makes sense to wait until those tiers are locked before ordering and shipping physical items.

 

The coin that is for sale in the add-on store was different than the "Founder Edition" coin that will ship with the game.
We'd have to flip the coin over to see if that's still the case.
The bottom of the original coin says "Forsaken Virtues".

Oh... I didn't even realise there was a different one. I thought the one that was in the store was the same coin sold separately for those who didn't want the full pledge.

That just put a sour taste in my day.

But I don't understand the "115 in circulation" bit. You mean there's only 115 Founder Tier pledges?

 

No. I mean I only made 115. I shipped 100 to Portalarium. Some were given to each of the devs, and the rest went in the shop.

 

But I took the advertising out of mine, so this is second generation coinage.

I have my Combat Sigil t-shirt already (I'm more a crafter, but I like the combat sigil best overall) and am still waiting on my purchased coin. I'm also getting the Collector's tier coin as well, so I'll have both

I tend to wear my sigil shirt on Fridays/weekends during Release windows in honor of the Release.

 

So I'm curious now. Since mine has the 'ad paper', it maybe 2nd-batch of coins on sales. I assume the 1st-batch of coin is without the 'ad paper'. But all batches I assume came from the original 115 that you made for Portalarium? Is that the right assumption here?

In addition, the Founder tier coins are different from these coins. I still have to take a photo of the 'rear' face, will do so later & share here. So the really interesting question here is, which is rarer?

 

The first batch was 115 silver coins and 15 golden coins.
If Portalarium made 100 coins, then the second batch would be more rare.
If they continue to make that design, the first batch would be more rare.
I don't see any changes on the runic face of the coin. If there is no change on the reverse, then there would be no way to determine which batch a coin is from.

Richard said they'd never produce a coin identical to the first batch, but I know he's not the one ordering the coins.
If the person placing the re-order merely reordered the old design, then there's no way to tell.

I'm curious to see if there are changes on the back of the coin you have.
