[Submitted 68834] Offline Mode hangs @ 94% after claiming rewards & reloading - OS independent

    Reported this before but it was removed without resolution.

    If I try to log in directly to offline mode I hang at 94%. If I log in to online first then it will load as normal.

    When it hangs at 94% I must kill the task from Task Manager and start over.

    What scene specifically are you loading when logging in to offline?

    The character is currently in Central Brit. but, I have tried multiple zones including the overworld all with the same issue unless I log in to online first.

    also note that i can cause a hang for ONline mode with this working in reverse order:

    Are you running Linux? I discussed this w/ Alley Oop last week, and could not reproduce it myself on Windows using Steam version (logging in using steam or entering credentials). I also tested on QA at the time, which should be the same as non-Steam version and could not reproduce.

    Can you paste the output of /bug also?

    for the last month I had a character (Tink) on offline I could not log into, two other characters (Merrik and Merrik Dragon), on the same account, I could log into fine but could not swap into Tink from them nore log directly into Tink. This had happened before with Tink but I didnt know what had caused it or what had fixed it.. after reading this post tonight I logged into online then swapped to Tink and logged back into her just fine...

    This problem started happening to me immediately following me doing a "claim rewards" offline. Got a copy of all my rewards offline, then next time I went to log in I couldn't. Still could access online, tho. Hopefully this info is helpful.

    Verified - @Meneliki found the secret sauce.
    Repro: Start the game client, Play Offline, select existing offline character, resume, Claim Rewards, authenticate (I used Steam), wait for the process to complete (takes a while), once rewards are successfully claimed window appears, click OK, then quit the game - reload the game, pick offline, click resume, game hangs at 94%

    Note: this seems to make this permanent. I deleted my offline character, quit the game, reloaded, picked offline, created a new character, did the mirror, game stuck 94% loading Solace Bridge Outskirts. I was never able to reproduce prior to picking 'claim rewards' in Offline mode.

    - It looks like the bug is tied to registry entries created by using 'claim rewards'which then breaks offline mode. The entries are binary values prefixed DbObject.ItemStore.

    * uninstalling the game and reinstalling does not fix this.
    * offline mode still works normally on my laptop where I never claimed rewards in offline mode - so it's something to do with the game's registry entries or a file stored locally that wasn't cleaned up by the uninstall.

    Not sure if this is helpful or not, but I had this problem for several weeks over the winter as well, on Windows non-Steam -- couldn't login to multiple offline characters, in multiple locations, unless I pretended to try to login to online mode first. (Pretended because I didn't have Internet access; the game didn't care if I succeeded in an online login, as log as I hit the right buttons to try). I don't have any login rewards to claim and don't remember trying -- although it is possible that I made a quick "just doublecheck I've already got everything" attempt and promptly forgot about it afterwards.

    The problem simply resolved itself sometime in February.

    I'm trying to reproduce this and i can't. Tryed going offline and online multiple time changing scenes and claiming reward every time it loaded fine.

    I see in echondas log there was some error that got recently fixed, i'd like to see a new log if anyone have it happen again.

    Title: Stuck at 94% after update.
    Reproducible? YES
    Blocker: YES
    Details: The patch went ok, but when the game initializes it gets stuck at 94% 'Equipping Avatars". I looked this up on Google and see it's happened before. I also tried 'Resume on Map' and was still stuck at 94%.

    So I decided to try logging in to play - it loaded - and now works in offline mode as well.

    Not really sure what forum to post this in but I thought the info might be helpful to other online players that were experiencing the same issue and maybe something the devs should check out.

    Steps to Reproduce: Every time I try to run the game.

    User Specs: (RAM, CPU, GPU and Operating System only)
