Chris isn't making Garriot's NFT game?

C'mon guys, there was even a drawing/ caricature of Chris on the now-defunct[1] website.
[1] Tried to access again and got redirected to the FaceBook page.

He was regarded as Tech VP / CTO or something like that.

Yeah, he claims he'll be back 100% soon. But this doesn't mean he isn't working in LB's new game.

 

Becoming a trend wondering where the developers are on this project.

Lot of eggs in Richards new basket, the eggs in this basket are running dry. And now, unfortunately, it's beginning to show with unforced critical errors.

That is an interesting comment. If he's moving back to Shroud 100%, then what does that mean for RG's "new game"? Is Chris just providing initial development/prototype support and then jumping off? Perhaps he is coding some minimum viable land management system to enable the initial NFT purchases, with the expectation that the game development will come later.

He said from the start that his involvement was just temporary and that he would be back here at some point.

 

Chris (ATOS) has been around, as well he is also working on other project so splitting time. He was back in full swing helping get this corrupt DB back up and running with the rest of the team. There has been a lot of updates all over each place they post so not sure why you think there was lack of communications. there is even a thread in announcements that has been reposted many times with updates. not sure or not if the NFT game is still moving forward or not as we have not heard much more on that RG game these last month or two so who knows.

 

Didn't he actually just say on the livestream that he was no longer working on the other project? Am I mistaken?

I think he mentioned that he's moving 100% back to SotA soon. And he said something in the lines of "going back to the other project once in a while to collaborate".

The "other project" has seemingly gone silent as well. They were updating Facebook weekly for awhile with some rather generic content, but nothing has been posted at all since September 16. I don't doubt that there is some amount of work going on behind the scenes, but all I'm seeing so far is red flags.

 

Crypto and NFTs went down, that's what happened.
RG must be looking for the new buzzword to catch attention.

 

The only red flag is Richard's new pet project is not associated with this project. Some say abandonment, others suggest a separate continuation of the 'Ultimate RPG' concept, and others still are left confused about everything wondered why Richard came to do show and tell about everything NOT Sota, got confused and went and played Star Citizen because its this age's UO equivalence.

Crypto is far from out and over, the people who know their stuff have zero doubt because they watch the metrics that count.

 

General audience is worried about it. Not everyone is a specialist.

Shroud is indeed the ultimate Ultima game, the only reason RG would abandon it is chasing after more money.
