"You must select a target" when attempting to tame neutral creature

Details:Blood River Outskirts, Dog near Wagon with 2 Bandits, after killing bandits I thought I´d try to tame the dog. Targeted dog, taming skill in utility bar was greyed out - when clicking taming it said that I need to target a creature, despite that I already targeted the dog.

Perhaps discriminate text in "Target creature" if none is targeted and "Can´t tame neutral animals" or "untamable" when having targeted something that can´t be tamed?

That dog is grey and cannot be attacked or tamed. Only potentially killable targets can be tamed. You're right though, there probably should be a different message than "You must select a target." when attempting this. I'm going to move the thread to the Feedback section.

 

There really should be just a basic feedback message letting us know why we can’t tame a specific creature. For creatures that currently can’t be tamed, something as simple as “This creature cannot be tamed” would be sufficient, when attempting to tame a creature that cannot currently be tamed.

 

At the very least and simplest instead of "You must select a target" --> "You must select a VALID target" which at least would imply that I DID target something, just not something that can be tamed.
