    Also I am observing a load time of around 1:06 minutes completely starting the game and from when I click resume (into my POT) and when the scene finally loads. That seems a bit excessive. Not sure if these error messages are a contributing factor to that or not.

    If there is any other info or help I could provide for this feel free to ask. Always happy to help.

    Steps to Reproduce: Enter the POT of Hemut. After these scene load, look at your sota_log.txt. Observe several error messages within it.

    cannot replicate. either it's something that's only in the windows build or something specific to either your install OR to something you are equipping. is it happening only in hemut? if you use steam, can you try a repair files?

    This is with the stand alone install. Did the following:
    1. Removed everything off character.
    2. Exited my town via boat to novia.
    3. Loaded Novia near my town.
    4. Completely exit game. Deleted (and backed up everything in the LUA Directory, just to be sure it wasn't LUA)
    5. Start game and log in.
    6. Click Resume.
    7. Load on Novia near my town.
    8. From overland click and enter Hemut.
    9. After arriving into Hemut, check sota_log.txt
    10. See errors in log

    1. Removed everything off character.
    2. Exited my town via boat to novia.
    3. Loaded Novia near my town.
    4. Completely exit game.
    5. Start game and log in.
    6. Click Resume.
    7. Load on Novia near my town.
    8. From overland walk to Granite Gardens near by and enter scene from the overland.
    9. After arriving into Granite Gardens, check sota_log.txt
    10. Do not see the same The referenced script (Unknown) on this Behaviour is missing!
    11. Exit Granite Gardens via wagon to Overland.
    12. Walk to Hemut and enter Hemut via overland.
    13. Upon entering Hemut check sota_log.txt. See the The referenced script (Unknown) on this Behaviour is missing! errors

    Is there another possible sequence I could try? Of note the "Fallback handler could not load library" don't know if that is also some issue(?)

    hmm.

    does it happen on one character on the account only? that'd indicate it's something that char has.

    does it happen on one account only? perhaps it is something that is activating with pot or lot ownership?

    I checked QA and also noticed this error showing in the log. I logged into a second account, and selected a secondary character. Loaded the game. Open character window and removed all items. I then destroyed every single item on the character in inventory (turned show all quest/tools/locked). This character has completely nothing in inventory. Exit game. Start game. Star on World Map. Load game. Enter hemut from overland. After town loads. See error messages.

    I'm fairly certain now that some deco object is spitting out this error? I could easily systematically figure out what Item is doing that (if that is what is doing this).

    The error message is from what I can tell actually an object within the template:

    Entering into this town, with a secondary character on another account that has no items on them at all, will have the error messages in the log. I'll assume yo also(?) won't see this in Linux. Could possibly then be Windows related.

    Best guess: an Audio Emitter object is generating the error. Possibly the one at the dock (default load in area).

    Sorry, Stand alone install. Windows 10. This error is also happening in the current QA build.

    Also some specific info: These error messages are ONLY in the sota_log.txt file. C:\Program Files (x86)\Portalarium\Shroud of the Avatar\Shroud of the Avatar_Data the sota_log.txt file located there.
    These error messages will not show in the /debug console. Not sure why that is.

    Just out of curiousity: What kind of Shader does your GPU not support that the game falls back on something else?

    I'm on Steam and the town loaded fine and fairly quickly for me with nothing abnormal in the logs

    at this point my guess is you have a corrupted file. that repair option is the ONE thing i like steam for. the next thing to test is to reinstall. (maybe wait a week and do it with the new release since you'll have a download anyway?)

    What is odd is I am seeing these errors in both the Live install and QA install builds. Which are 2 completely separate downloads. Not sure if that is a helpful clue. What I will do tomorrow is uninstall and reinstall the game for live and see what happens. And then I'll report back what happens. DO wish we had that scan files option for corruption for the stand alone client.

    i tried one more thing: i impersonated you and loaded it, walking in from the overworld. (and then put you back where i found you.) it loaded quickly, without errors. whatever the problem is not something about that account or character, either ownership of pot/lots or something you are wearing/carrying. local files is my only guess.

    Some shots in the dark here, but check your windows event logs for the time period when this happens, see if you notice any errors. Can also try running a disk check (right click the drive, pick properties,then tools, then error checking). Can try running the Microsoft system file checker tool (sfc.exe /scannow) from an elevated command prompt (start, run: cmd.exe and hit ctrl+shift+enter). Could also try running a memory diagnostic on your system using the built-in Windows Memory Diagnostic tool (search for it from the Start menu)

    Your log message have a diff of 30 seconds while trying to load equipment thats what took so long and its not supposed to take that long.
    I would think its something about your connection, try resetting your router. Sometime the latency get high and it have a hard time connecting.

    Sadly, re-installing the stand-alone version I was still seeing the same exact errors in the sota_log. Since no one else is seeing these error messages, It's obviously then some odd thing on my end. This computer is also a bit old, and it could even be something related to that. So for now, I'll just keep trying some things, see if maybe it clears up. Maybe I even have some bad/old driver (video card is up to date). Thanks for the advice.

    Just to be clear on something, I logged into my second account (which has 2 characters) , with the stand alone client, I took a new character and removed every single item off the character. They literally have noting at all on the character. They also do not own a POT or have steward permissions (for my town). They do however own some lots in the town. I then entered into Hometown and then entered into the Area: POT Template Example: Desert 01a (POT_desert_metropolis_01a_template/A POT template: Desert 01a). I was observing the same error messages in there. I would *assume* that would be eliminating Anpu carrying any items that is generating the error message? As well as it not being a POT permission related issue?

    Almost every time i saw problem like this and no one knew the anwser it ended up being a windows update that broke things. I would check that just incase lol... Could be wrong but that sound strangely like one of those case
