On the livestream today, they showed new fish tanks and fish bowls that are coming soon and they look really great.

 

Very nice use of what's available so far in game. I do appreciate your showing it to us. Now a wishlist item could be to sometimes catch a live fish when fishing for our aquariums or even another idea could be to use a bucket on a lake or river to get a chance to capture some fish for our aquariums.

When it occurs to me to invent an aquarium, the developers come and announce that there will be fish tanks, what a coincidence!
In any case, my aquarium is much more rustic than the fish tanks but it is also more handmade because it is made by hand, not like the developers, with all these modern digital tools and putting fish that move... and mine are stiff. They have advantage!

 

I know we just got aquariums coming in game now but @Isabel Ayin I do really like yours. Is there a way for yours to have some foliage or greenery at the bottom of your created tank? I was trying to think of what plants would be small but perhaps you can think of something. Anyway for new aquarium system coming into the game for the moment All that we get as crafted is a 1 fish fishbowl which is measly imo. Also perhaps the fish will get a bit more animation. They are very new and could get upgrades as we go a long.

 

It's actually something that has been requested for a long time now.

 

The space for decoration inside the wooden trough is very limited, I couldn't even place anything under the small anchovy. Visually there is a lot of space but it is impossible to place anything else in that white space, and neither between the fish.

The build process is as follows:

1. I put the wooden trough on the ground and placed the candles and fish inside.
   
2. I followed the steps in this video, only for the first 30 seconds, but instead of placing a third standing granite block, I placed a wooden spacer (the one you see on the screenshot behind the wooden trough) https: //www.shroudoftheavatar.com/forum/index.php?threads/how-to-make-a-spiral-ramp-stairway-staircase-and-floating-platforms.166134/.

With this trick you can make very ingenious decorations if you change that third block of granite for other elements, such as wooden dividers or shogun partitions, weapon shelves, cabinets... you can put hanging corpses, planters as walls, rolls of fabric supported standing on a piece of furniture, I even placed a spiked trap upside down and the effect was impressive. As I said in the first post of the thread, imagination to power!
