Ok, I'm a Mage, so I have to have a Wizard tower, right? ;)

I thought so to. So after finally finding a place to plunk one down in... Southmarsh, I think it is, I have taken some video of it. It's currently in 3 parts, and I'll be adding a 4th part soon showing it (mostly) furnished as I've been playing doll house... err.. Wizard Decorating this morning. :)

(Apologies for the shoddy fps. Still haven't found a way to get the recording software to play nice when I pan the camera.)

I keep forgetting that wizards in SOTA don't run around in robes & wielding wands/staves. The graphics look much better than in R1 & I like the fact that you can craft your own furniture to customize your home. When magical mirrors , clocks and other stuff come about don't forget to post a video of your castle again :)

And the final part. This is now as furnished as it's going to get. Mostly just did it for myself to have a record before stuff gets wiped in the next release.

I wanted to see what all the rugs looked like, so I kind of went gonzo on the rugs. :)

I had a 14.4, a 28.8 a 36.6 and a 56k USR. Non win-modem of course. Win modems just sucked. AT & F. :) Hayes were the days. This was from a time when one actually needed a brain to work in tech support. Unlike *ahem* now...

I remember when I got the 14.4 it was an upgrade from... oh... 2400 I think. It was like Christmas! Come to think of it, it probably was Christmas...

For a real blast from the past... http://www.technofileonline.com/texts/2400modem88.html

Best thing to do with dialup was to attach the modem to a dedicated firewall pc (smoothwall was good) and then the main windows pc was networked to it, then you could reboot etc and stay online.
