Hi, I just became a Pledge. I just saw a webcast on Mostly Harmless (http://www.twitch.tv/mostly_harmless_gaming/c/4231754) with Richard Garriott and had to come check SotA out. I played Ultima Online for about 13 years so I was excited to hear about his current project. I have lots of questions, but I will read through the boards for answers first. I look forward to becoming part of the community and learning more about SotA. For now I will just say Hi to everyone
Cool, that's the one I saw too. I'm loving the SotA storyline so far; I stayed up all night reading it.
Hello Willard, welcome to SotA! We're a friendly bunch here, so pull up a chair, have a seat, and let us know if you'd like any roasted marshmallows. (I'm afraid there's not much we can do about it if you do. Still, we're happy listeners, if you'd like to talk about it.)
Welcome Willard! If you have questions ask away - A lot of folks will jump in and answer them for you
Welcome, Willard! We have a wonderful community here and we're glad to have you join us. There's a lot of info to sift through around here, and I can't say it's terribly organized, but poke around and feel free to ask if you have any particular questions. Someone can usually point you in the direction of the relevant conversation. There are several "mega-posts" pinned up around the forums, and the top post there is usually updated with the most current iteration of the dev plans for various subjects such as PVP or Crafting. And do check out our great community sites - ultimacodex I'm sure you're familiar with. There are more resources and guild sites popping up all the time! Here's a list: https://www.shroudoftheavatar.com/forum/index.php?threads/fansites-support.1871/ There are also many helpful people who frequent the SotA chat room We've even got our own radio station which is inevitably rockin' out at any given moment. They're starting to do some audio fan fiction over there too!
Chillbilly cracks me up! Must be an awesome guild (Mostly Harmless) with all the different personalities. It makes me want to get started with the game.
Welcome. I agree it is great to see and to hear from new people Also very nice to see the word is getting out about SOTA. I'm sure there are still many that may be off playing some game that may be becoming boring or drudgery to them that would love to hear about this. That was me. I only discovered this game in November. I was very happy when I first heard about it and even more so now.
