7 is crazy long. I never finished it either....maybe it is time for another attempt in between SotA releases. :)

Whew! I don't think I have the time for that anymore. It'd take me all year. Sounds fun though.

When I last stopped, I was in the final dungeon. That was too long. LOL

Considering it is the first Elder Scrolls I ever got to work properly, I consider it my favorite of the bunch as well. :)

Loved it too, but never finish the darn thing. The Shivering Isles expansion MAKES that game for me. I always finish that part.

If you haven't already, finish the "Assassain's Guild" story in that game. It was awesome!

Not sure if Gauntlet qualifies as a RPG.. but it sure was an all time classic. "Elf needs food badly!" is forever burned into my brain.

First RPG ever played: DnD basic set, old red box. There wasn't computer RPG games when I started playing ... well there was I suppose, if you could find a computer.

Top 5 is hard, so in no particular order:
    Earth and Beyond
    Saga of Ryzom
Might and Magic (maybe 3 - 8 it's been too long)
DnD Dark Sun (I think Shattered Lands, but it may have been Wake of the Ravager)
    UO

Honorable mentions to RPG lite Diablo and Torchlight.

Favorite by far was Saga of Ryzom, for the fantastic community only surpassed by the one here. ;)

Top five is a tough shortlist and I don't think Ultima 7 makes it for me although if it was a top ten it certainly would. I shall stick to purely RPGs:

    1) Morrowind
    2) Dark Souls
    3) Chrono Trigger
    4) Suikoden 2
    5) Twilight Princess

Apart from U7, other favourite RPGs of mine which almost made it are Faxanadu, Final Fantasy 12, and Zelda: A Link to the Past.

    Top 5 :

    (1) Myth the Fallen Lords
    (2) Wasteland

    (5) Pool of Radiance

    For CRPG's:

Ultima IV and V: Apple //e
Pool of Radiance SSI Gold Box, et. al.: Apple //e
Wizardry 1-4: Apple //e, Wizardry (1): Proving Grounds of the Mad Overlord being the first CRPG I ever played
Bards Tale series: Apple //e, along with the early Wizardrys, for nostalgia
Neverwinter Nights 1 and 2, plus expansions: x86.

    For RPG's:
Old school D&D and AD&D through the second edition
Traveller, in all of its incarnations
HackMaster, the new kid on the block that puts me in mind of old school (A)D&D.

Not sure TFL qualifies as an RPG...it's more of an RTS, or maybe RTT (real time tactical).

Not, mind you, that it isn't balls to the wall amazing.

I don't disagree about the story. Though if pressed, I would have to point to the Marathon trilogy as my favourite thing made by Bungie.

Not including MMO's (Ultima Online would be an easy #1), my Top 5 are:

    1) Dragon Warrior IV
    2) Might & Magic: World of Xeen
    3) Dragon Age: Origins
    4) Dark Sun: Shattered Lands
    5) Phantasy Star III

Honorable mention goes to Quest for Glory I VGA, which I kept off the list because I don't consider it a pure RPG, but it does have some RPG elements.
