1997-2013. Stygian Abyss (and more specifically, imbuing) was the last straw. High Seas wasn't a bad expansion though.

Wow way cool , I played for many years up u ntill 2008. However I'd did attend a really cool Uo meet the devs function in 2001 @ Scarborough fair. I was really impressed with everyone I met there they were taking Q&a from the crowd..

Nope. The first MMO I've played was WOW, although I don't play it these days. (I'm at my 30s now)
I did play Ultima 9, and I loved the lore and concept. I think SotA will bring somewhat better.

I loved going to that fair esp. When uo had their event. We all got name tags with our character names, I brought my wife who didn't play they provided her with the name tag "Uo Widow" we still laugh about that anyone who played uo and was married will understand.

No, not anymore... I started Sept 1997 and ended in 2010... I gave up on Crafting as there was no point, couldn't get any resources and failed if I had some... The last 2 years I just deco'd my two 18 x 18s and purchased things off websites like UOTreasures...

My wife and I were regulars at Scarborough fair until her passing, although she was too sick to go last year and this. Also started playing UO just before LBR, and played until just before SA.

I am a backer and did play it for a short period of time. Dumped it rather quickly though.

Also this may not be an accurate poll, because you don't have to be a backer to sign up and vote. May want to just remove "early backers" out of your post and just let it fly as "Have you played UO"

Yea but good enough for a general idea. Thanks looking about 70+% from Ultima online about what I was thinking.

I bought the Charter Edition on launch, and Second Age when it came out, and played for two years. I quit when I realized I just wasn't having fun; I was hoping for an Ultima game, and it never felt like the same Britannia. I tried coming back a few times, when I was nostalgic for Ultima, but it was never the same.

'97 (beta, about a week before LB was killed) through '00, quit for awhile when Trammel came but rejoined a few times. The Trammel split polarized the population in a way that was very unappealing to me. Trammel play got boring very fast because of the limited mechanics of the PvE game, but the safety Trammel provided made PvP too demanding in Felucca, in the sense that it became nearly impossible to PvP alone there and that the Trammel / Felucca divide turned PvP into more of a competitive paradigm than a social one.

Played at the release of Ultima Online: The Discovery Edition until around 2007. I've frequently tried to return in recent years (at least once or twice a year until now) but the energy just isn't there anymore. Oceania is a very small (but fantastic) community but the essence of the game, especially the world, has evolved into something else.

Not to mention with all the changes in leadership, we've seen no new decent content additions in years.
