This was announced on the SotA Updates recently:

    SotA at RTX 2014!
    Austin, Texas
    July 4-6, 2014
    Austin Convention Center
    500 E Cesar Chavez St
    Austin, TX 78701
    Booth #235
Some of you may recall that we launched our Kickstarter campaign in March 2013 with a live broadcast from the Rooster Teeth studios here in Austin, Texas. We’re excited to announce that Shroud of the Avatar will be showing at the RTX Convention hosted by Rooster Teeth, July 4-6.
If you’re at the convention then stop by, say Hi, and check out the latest version of the game (we’re in booth #235)

Personally, I will attend on Saturday, July 5th for the day. I am not planning to spend the night. Who else is going? It would be great to connect up!

Well if the optimisation doesn't improve they may be the only rigs that can run it when all the house lots are occupied and bursting with pledge rare rewards.

I have an almost 2 year old machine and I have been able to run the pre-alphas at max settings with little to no lag. There's a few glitches but the optimisation will get better over the next few months.

I went to RTX last year.
It was my first gaming convention.
The first floor was packed with teenagers waiting in huge long lines to play the various demos at each booth.
Just trying to push my way through the crowd to sort of glimpse what was in each booth was an experience I never want to repeat.
All I saw were the backs of a bunch of heads.

Upstairs was not nearly as crowded, but there were still long lines to get in to see the different panels.
If you want to sit in on a panel, get in line a couple of hours in advance.
The RTX staff and volunteers do a great job of managing the lines, and the folks in line were friendly.

Bring a backpack with bottles of water and snacks, or you'll die.
Bring twice as much money as you think you need.

The highlight for me was when Richard and Chris walked up to me and shook my hand and chatted for a couple of minutes.
When I looked back at the line everybody was staring at me, and the woman behind me asked "Who are you and how do you know them?"

Richard joined the crowd in line and answered questions, signed autographs, and told stories.
Starr appeared, but at the time I didn't know who he was.

That part of RTX was definitely worth the trip.

I might.. Very iffy. Might be on vacation that week. If i am, and if a doctor im seeing in a couple of hours determines i dont need surgery.. I might go as a road trip with my daughter as she would have fun, and the fact it is like 20 hours of drive time would be ok. Maybe..

I don't think SoTA is going to be Star Citizen. It will get faster when LOD stuff is fully in and 6 months of optimizations happen.

It's probably a good idea you have a graphics card with 1GB or more of video Memory; the old cards don't have enough memory IMO.

Not going! Was a cool thought but work decided with my mutual agreement taking THIS week off work rather then next week would be better for work (and myself, as one of the dogs had surgery on Thursday which allows me to help get him prepared for 6-8 weeks of bed rest).

    Ahh well. Maybe another time
