First you say this above, then say,

Nothing to see here. Move along. No corruption that is a bannable offense. I think you just proved the point that corruption exists by being drawn to bitcoin to carry out your endeavors.

Did you pay tax on the revenue you earned by using a game as your platform?

Hey, you know what they say, all publicity is good publicity.
    Bitcoin isn't going anywhere.

Locked for moderation. Off the top of my head I can see several trolling, badgering, and spamming violations. If your posts have broken any of the Forum Rules you have time to self-moderate before I come through and issue warnings.

    EDIT:
I have removed numerous posts. If you did not receive a personal warning/notification of moderation from me, consider this it.

I would really like to see this topic turned around, regardless of your opinion on bitcoin or any other crypto-currency. There are good arguments for and against it. I think it really comes down to personal preference. Anyways, you are welcome to discuss this topic to it's fullest, but let's abide by the forum rules. I don't see where all of this name calling, provoking, and badgering of one another is going to aid the development of SotA. Let's remember that we are all here to help SotA become the best it can be. Let's show respect to our fellow contributors (and to the development team) by following the forums rules throughout our discourse here in the SotA Forums.

Why would they accept a 'vapor-ware currency'?

Because they get paid in real dollars no matter what the value of bitcoins?

Seriously, this was addressed earlier on in the thread. They won't lose any money by accepting bitcoins.

Yep, I see it listed now too as "Full Payment - Bitcoin"

Awesome! I wonder if they'll announce this in today's Weekly Update to generate some PR for the game.

I now have to think long and carefully.... I have a few left, so I need to decide: a telescope for my son, new video cards, or upgrade to Lord Marshall or Baron? :)

I remember someone boasting about shorting Bitcoin from $200 (when that was a peak) to $150 (making money on the decline). Not long after it hit $1100. They were remarkable quiet after that.

The people who criticize Bitcoin the most tend to be those who understand it least.

Yes, before bitcoin experienced a massive bubble and tons of people lost their savings when it burst. What serious investor is going to touch it now? It's slid from $1200 to sub $400, but whatever because magic economics, right?

You missed Paypal doing that this year then. If you had read this thread properly then you would have seen that. A paypal employee debated Bitcoin here on this forum before the company eventually accepted them (there was even a claim that it was going to be finished with 24 hours -- that didn't happen) Who to trust on whether Bitcoin is a viable technology: Some angry guy on the internet or a massive billion dollar company? No contest.

Yes there was a bubble, but that doesn't mean the technology has come to an end.

When Bitoin surged to $200 people cried it was a bubble. Perhaps it was. It plunged to $150 and everyone said it was over. We've heard it all before.

Except PayPal isn't actually accepting bitcoins; PayPal is accepting cash and not touching bitcoins.

Bitcoin is an interesting experiment and that's all.
