    The fix to make tour guides immune from being attacked didn't make it for the live release, but will be in the first patch.

    Until then - please do not try to get tour guides killed; and if a tour guide is missing they will respawn shortly.

    We hope to have a fix for this posted today.

    My apologies for the interruption in all of your tours that are grand.

    Glad to hear that the tour guides will respawn shortly after they are killed :D I need to complete the other half of the tour tonight (Kingsport Sewers, Mysterious Swamp, and Obsidian Tower) after I spend several hours leveling up a bit ;)


    EDIT: Yeah, the swamp is pretty darn tough for a solo player :eek: I didn't last there very long either, Lord Baldrith :(

    Ya the poor tour guide in the mysterious swamp seems to be in over his head! I couldn't even figure out where he was supposed to be ... Hopefully not mixed in with all those Lich Mages and archers...Couldn't survive to explore that area! Need to get up to about level 50 haha

    Do remember that if you want to reach a tour guide without the hindrance of others SPO is always available.

    Of course, for areas like the Mysterious Swamp... others can be a help as well!

    I was battling skeletons at Obsidian Keep yesterday afternoon. They killed the tour guide a few times, although I certainly wasn't trying to lure them to kill the tour guide. I didn't realize it was disabling others from completing the tour ...... sincere apologies if so.

    @Lum - is making a quest NPC immune the only solution? When I saw the tour guide killed in the dungeon, I thought that was the way it was supposed to work. He didn't respawn, but another tour guide simply took his place. :)

    I've been wandering on this level for a hour and have never seen him

    NM Found him. Located to the right of the drawbridge, by the quiver of arrows. I looted 5g off him as he's dead :p

    I was able to do this tour without much difficulty. Just the swamp was a bit of a challenge as the NPC was being attacked by skeletons.

    The other one just involves some basic thinking out of the box rather then running straight in.

    Found him trapped in a cage in the Keep with melee Lich. At least he was alive and probably immortal as I shot at him several times without causing any damage :)

    OK, I'm already in SPO and they are nowhere to be found, How long until they respawn? I can survive long enough to talk to them, but not much longer...

    The Obsidian Keep only has bears at the entrance, did you bury them inside the Keep?

    Please curb the difficulty for us single players, I can take a 1v1 or even 2v1 if you adjusted the armor rating so I didn't need to use Plate...

    I thought it was supposed to work this way o_O, I mean, horrible risks to the job but just think of the danger pay those guides are getting! Admittedly the guy they hired to do the job in the swamp must be a little bit special...I mean...someone meets you in an inn and says "Hey, I've got this great job for you, fantastic pay, free health insurance (5 minute respawn), it's in the middle of a great new spa environment we're putting together, warm water, great guests who almost never say anything and all the frogs you can eat.".....Actually...I'd have done it for the frogs.

    For anyone who hasn't worked it out yet you can run all the way around the obsidian fort and drop in from the back without any of the gribblies eating you. The tour guide there is in a hanging cage in the middle of the back courtyard. Sucks to have his job!

    Take the left path, through wall, swim river, back entrance. 0 mobs, 100% fun.

    I have been waiting over an hour at obsidian keep for the tour guide to respawn and he has not done so yet how long is the respawn timer set to?

    Thanks for the tip, but I already found him... I'm going back to find the back entrance cuz I swam over and found nothing, so I'll swim the river and see...

    I bought some plate and leveled a couple of times and now its getting easier, but those skele's are ganking me pretty bad... I'm running by them now... This starting chr is pretty wussy...

    Yes, I agree the starting char is crap. I almost died going to him but going out I found back way, no mobs.
