    Greetings,

Guards should protect farm animals in towns: chickens and sheep. They belong to someone, don't they? They are not wild animals that wandered in. It should be a crime to kill someone's animals.

    Thanks

I have to agree :) They're someones property.
Pay a fine or pay with blood?!

Well, if guards attack me, I want option to defend myself, however experienced hero should be bit stronger than guards so unless the city is protected by whole army, I see problems with people killing animals and guards. Though maybe if someone does not pay fine and attacks guards, they get struck by the moon tower? What about cities not protected by moon towers? Really, how do you want enforce law on experienced mages and fighters?

I would be entertained if they used an Aether Tazer and I was knocked on my butt (using the animation when bears knock you down).

    Could work for breaking crates

    Stealing from vendors.

They should walk away saying, "Tisk Tisk'.

    I'm half joking.

They should just be blue like other domesticated animals: dogs, cats, and cows.

If left unchecked, chickens will multiply and overrun the city! The cities would then require a sanitation department as the streets would become littered with droppings. Finally, with a ban on chicken killing, who could make ol' fashioned chicken soup? No more BBQ chicken? Ack! Death to chickens says I! :D

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. It should be a thing in the community to kill all the chickens, all the time. When chickens think of Chicken Hell, they should think about SOTA.

As it is, you can steal merchandise from a shop right in front of the shop owner and no one cares. You can kill farm animals in town and no one cares.

It seems items have no property tags currently, or the systems aren't in place to enforce property rights.

Horse and cattle theft, historically, had a death penalty attached to them. Murdering someone's animal would obviously be punished just as harshly. Just something for the devs to think about :>

Guards also don't stop you from stealing and shopkeepers pay it no mind.

I'm hoping that eventually there will be property values such as in a game like Morrowind/Oblivion/Skyrim. In the mod tools you can see most every object in the world has an owner. If someone sees you steal, they call the guards who enforce the law.

I believe Guards will be guards in future releases including stopping any kind of violence in town, PVP or farm animals etc.
It just hasn't been put in game yet, but they will eventually.

I'm all for this...but only if we can also bribe some guards. Like some of them should really believe in their job and refuse to be corrupt but others think this is only something to pay rent and hey, that shiny gold will send them to patrol somewhere else because it makes no difference to them.

i think the captain of the guard should hire some 'outlanders' to protect these chickens you speak of, as for the sheep, there on there own .....
