Oh,I think the zoomed map is useful in web, because we'll mark npcs on map. If the map is too small, they'll entangled in together and unable to distinguish.

The wiki supposedly has the option to output in json but whenever I try it doesn't work properly. Very frustrating.

Love your map! Has some great features in it and I can see some fantastic possibilities for it down the line. Could be really awesome if it was tied into guides, when clicking links on guides would take you to tags on the map with individual details then listed for that aspect of things.

Put out a post on it. Keep at it and thank you for sharing your work with us!

    good for you, exactly that.

How are you tooling the backend? I did mine with mongo, and was using Googledocs for data entry.

people could add POIs there, script in Google pushes them to the mongo database, then my map page reads that out, but I was thinking of doing it all in Google.

all json as a container for transport.

looking good, keep up the work.

I think it's healthy for the game that people are working on different dynamic maps!

That and competition leads to better products even if the products in this case are free.

Since it looks like you plan on using custom markers to label everything, why don't you use the blank map (even it's the old one) in this map thread? It's clear of all labels and can be used until the new Novia map is released.

For the Hidden Vale and town maps, let me know if you want the English translations of those vs. the runic text you're currently using.

Okok~~~I have downloaded you give the psd. I'm looking for staff to collect data. For now, organize the information of items in map is the most important thing in it.and i recently had the exam, so not too concerned about this.:(

It must be free and i don't think this project needs to compete.I'm just doing what I want to do, after all, I have a lot of friends in the play, after all, there are so many players are playing like SOTA.

Using JSON files to store, it is very simple. This map is only an incomplete version. Wait until all aspects perfect, switching to MongoDB is very easy.

Yes, what is marked as Hidden Vale is actually Graff Island.

Ruonyy, heres my take for you. Ignore it, maybe it helps you, so forth.

Heres how I view such things.
Do your projects because you have fun with them and enjoy them.

Anyone doing something to shine are missing the point. Those that are doing it for fun get it. I sense you are having fun with this - do it.

If for some reason it stops being fun, stop doing it. Anyone that is negative about what you do, just ignore them (unless its constructive and then consider it, but ultimately, dont let it cause you to change what your doing unless its because you feel it makes sense to change it based on said feedback).

Keep up the great work! And no - your not competing. It takes 2 to compete. So long as you keep an attitude your aren't competing, your not. Let others that think they are, continue to think they are. They can spend their time trying to be better then you while you continue to have fun. You win, because you win for yourself.

Awesome map of Novia, wish I could go there... I dont know how to get out of Hidden Vale without going through Owls head and I haven't been able to get into that town in two months... almost level 50 and I'm bored out of my mind.

    Nice maps tho :)
