    Love the game but calling it an MMO is like a short cut to thinking. While there is an MMO variable in place, I always saw the game as the players story and not just a cookie cutter online game. Nonetheless i still voted in favor of. SotA :p

    Agreed Kooky Boy. Why is SotA the only non-MMO on the list for most anticipated MMO? Kinda gives the implication that it actually is an MMO. I'm a multiplayer gamer at heart so this is of little consequence to me, but I can see why all those SP folks are up in arms trying to preserve their SP elements. Also, I thought SotA was an OPO? :confused:

    SotA is like a Swiss army knife, which has a knife, corkscrew, screwdriver, nail file, scissors, etc... Its a MMO, single player game, co-op, etc. It can't be defined by only one of them, but there's no reason why it can't be the top MMO and also the top single player game. :>

    Whether you agree it's an MMO or not, the very first sentence "About" SotA, written by them, is:

    "Shroud of the Avatar: Forsaken Virtues is a new type of third person fantasy RPG that combines a single player narrative with a sandbox MMO"

    So basically what I said right? That's pretty much what I was saying, that its not the A typical MMO and hopefully people are careful and diligent enough to understand that. The narrative is the driving force that is a staple of all LB games and this will be no different. Oddly I say the only exception was UO, it was entirely a sandbox MMO with monthly events and a semi on going story line in the early days, but after that it was pretty much up to the players in deciding on what they wanted to do.
