What's the deal with store purchased lots and houses?

So I've seen all sorts of threads relating to this question from different release versions.

I have these add-ons for houses/lots that I can't access.

I think a constant thread needs to be created with admin rights only to keep everyone updated on the housing situation. When will lots/houses purchased with real money be linked to accounts so they can be used in game instead of having to farm gold? If they are linked, where is the instruction manual that describes how the purchase can be redeemed?

Additionally, will lots and houses purchased through the store will remain static? Ie, lots are still valid with each wipe if paid for in real world cash, or the lot/deed is returned to inventory like a gift card for lot purchasing with each release.

 

When the game is released (episode one). Until then it is all a test and as many people as possible that are active need access to the housing feature. If there is a wipe (there will be) everything gets reset except your friends list.

EDIT: this next release it looks like we get to start with our pledge stuff though, but don't take my word as gospel

 

yeah they mentioned bringing our pledges on the 18th if they can still go forward with it. All your pledge stuff will be in your/bank after each wipe. /bank just drops stuff into your inventory at the moment.

 

They make threads every few months about the current situation. Not only is it a special thread made by the developers, it is even in a special announcement forum. How could you miss it, since currently, it is the very first message in the very first thread in the very first forum in the shroud of the avatar forums?
