A farewell of sorts

Greetings fellow avatars.
Some of you have heard and seen me at some point, others have not.

Me and my wife Linda have been with the SotA project since the beginning.

We looked so much forward to playing this game and enjoying this world together.
So much that I landed at a Duke and my wife at a Lord pledge.
We never commited to any guild or such as we planned to interact with everyone as a pair.

My kind lady Linda, the gentlest and nicest person I have known in my whole life.
A cat lover with a big heart.
Life is strange.

She told me every now and then how much she looked forward to be in the finished SotA with me, us together, exploring.
The test episodes weren't really our thing, but we did pop in and looked at things and tested stuff a little.

Then on 28 january 2015 she passed away at the low age of 38.
As surprising as lightning from a clear sky.

The very foundation of my being was pulled away.
My best friend and my beloved gone.

Right now this project is a strong reminder of the plans we had together.
I must take my leave and will probably not write again in a long time.
I hope I can return one day without being overcome with sadness.

Forgive me for posting this, but it feels right for me to do this.

Do not take life and family for granted!

I cannot begin to fathom the depth of your loss... I have things in my life that may parallel, but not one so close to the heart.

The foundation is there... you both laid it stone by loving stone. Spend some time remembering the things you did to lay it... her hand will be there, and may help you take heart to face the future.

Fair winds and following seas, traveller... and may those winds see fit to one day fill your sails, alter your course, and bring you back to us with renewed strength, hope and joy.

 

My deepest and sincere condolences during this sad and difficult time. I hope that you will feel able at some time in the future to return, with not sad but joyful memories.

 

So sorry to hear of your loss. No words at the moment can comfort you i'm sure.
Not in the same boat as you, but my mum is very close at the moment to passing over. I look forward to having her still part of my life to a point, with a gravestone at my home i can see and tend to every day.
Take all the time you need but i hope one day you can return to your dreams,and maybe live them a little with her looking on.

Even if i'm just a random guy who just play the same game you play i would like to express my condolences, for what they worth....

I've experienced the death of a family person recently and....well don't really know how to end this.

 

I am sorry to hear of your loss. I hope one day you may rejoin us but until then know that we will hold you in our hearts.

Very sad news.

As time passes the pain will lessen. I would highly recommend you step away from the computer and game for an extended period and spend quality and quantity time with family and friends.

I will say only that this is a wonderful community, and I'm sure it would be here to support you if you ever decide to revisit it.
