Animal Taming

    I'm surprised I haven't seen much discussion regarding this. Can we get animal taming up and running? I can remember no greater challenge in UO than avoiding PK's while trying to tame a Wyvern or Dragon and how awesome it was to control a pack of them. I don't think it would take much work to implement this skill. We are already able to summon elementals.

    There's actually been a ton of threads on this...just do a search :)

    Animal taming is a committed feature, but it's buried in the Forestry skill under the Gathering skill tree, as noted in the Skills MegaPost:
    • Forestry:
      • Resources Gathered: Wood, Tamed Animals, Fish
      • Tools: Axes, Saws, Fishing Poles, Taming Collars
      • Resources For: Milling, Butchery, Cooking
      • NOTE: Not just chopping wood. This skill includes Taming and Fishing.
    We likely aren't going to see any progress on it until they announce the Q2 schedule. It's nowhere to be seen in the Q1 schedule (R14 - R16):

    I really wish they would add this, at least the basics, sooner rather than later, as I have always been a tamer at heart.
