A farewell of sorts

My sincerest condolences for your loss. Having known 'similar' loss in my life, i can only slightly understand the pain. Yet, we will never understand as each person feels it differently.

Your strength in posting here says so much. May your path be blessed by the spirits and your healing come as it can.

Greetings Svahn-though it must be painful, I am so glad you posted. Brings home something we tend to overlook at times, especially when times are good and the fun is flowing. Our loved ones are the most important thing(s) in our lives and it gets easy to take them for granted. I come home from work everyday and do the cursory hello's and all, then head into my activity-rarely taking more than a few moments to show my love and appreciation. I do on special occasions, but it's the day in and day out that I tend to fail at. As you so eloquently stated, one never knows where life takes them and we really should cherish every moment we possibly can. Your post is a painful reminder that life is precious and the important thing is each other. Bless you, and may your love R.I.P. A moment of silence for you both.

So sad... Thank you for trusting the whole lot of us with your loss. You have received many condolences here, and I offer mine. This is a wonderful community here, and while I know you are experiencing pain with the memories here, but in time you will want to remember the fun times you had planning your time in SOTA.

The grieving phase has to occur for the healing to happen. Put SOTA on the shelf for awhile.

When you can face the world again, consider coming back here. You will find friends here.

MY deepest sympathy's go out to you and her family. I could not imagine the courage it took to write this post. I have been married for 25 years and could not even imagine losing her. You will be in my prayers, and may God bless you and take her into his arms until you meet again.

Take care of yourself ....I hope u can step back and take a breath ...... then as some time passes You may realize that SoTA is more than just a reminder .. its possibly a place of calm , tranquility new beginnings or remembrance . with les than tactful words I offer as time goes on we come back to normalcy. ..
