    Thank you for posting the video — I hadn't seen it before and was amazed. This type of speed shooting would be a great Olympic discipline and increase interest in archery, which is rather boring to watch in the traditional target-shooting form.

    perhaps a cross-country/obstacle course + archery event (sort of like the biathalon in the winter games)

    Well in anycase he's a badass archer. I don't know what to think about the historical claims of it all, but I suppose that doesn't much matter. Like every profession, everyone wants zip down their pants and compare member length.

    I disagree, in a competation they only thing that could be measured is the amout of time it takes to get shots off or number of shots fired in a amount of time. Based on the video the goal is to hit the target, not hit it in a specfic location. He hits his targets but are they all dead center? I am going to guess that the need of being able to quantify how good a shot was lead to the current bullseye scoring system.

    Would I watch him go through a demonstation, yes.

    It would make it similar to

    where you are measured on time. You should hit five targets within time, any miss gives a penalty.

    He also uses a very low draw-weight bow; it's how he can shoot fast. So if you want your characters to shoot like him be prepared to not kill anything.

    Yeah, That skepically pwnd video matches some of the comments I made in the other thread with this video in it. As a lifetime archer and hunter (Deer and Elk) I didn't buy into his BS. He is just another trick shooter. A good one, but no revolutionizing archery and a lot of BS claims.
