I live in Owl's Wash village. Owl's Wash and Owl's Head could have bird names for their streets.

 

An idea about street naming where the names hint at proximity within the instance. Like street numbers but with names to help guide you to a proximal address.

I don't have a complete idea of how this would work, best I could explain it that streets located center of a map/town/instance could start with low letter in the alphabet (A/B/C/etc), the furthest edges of the instance (ie: near exits) would be later letters T/U/V/W etc. and gradient the in between in ascending order.

This alphabetical order couldn't be perfect with streets spanning great distances, but a little order in the street naming could be nice. And maybe some places are reversed order with the alphabetical order descending from middle of the map (Z-A). Maybe that's an important tell into the locations Order or Chaos tendency.

That's not a bad idea. People have been known to donate money to a cause they believe in. Even if you don't get recognition or have a reward for it. The game is going to have streets with names anyway, why not sponsor one of the roads. lol Maybe the street sign could say sponsored by Myrcello.

Some of those fancy catholic churches with the big stained glass windows have names engraved below it on something stating something like "donated by the Myrcello family". In SotA the windows and streets are there anyway why not just let people directly sponsor them.

 

Woo I'd buy it, lol.

Pantera Street is cool too.

I think looking for names from heavy metal and punk rock bands is also a great way to find names for a street. Even if we have to change the names a bit because they are copyrighted. Although if it was done as a parody then we could use the real names... say they ever have a bad ass town where people like to party hard and throw bottles and stuff...

We should at least have a street named Hawkwind in a game like this due to their inspiration from Michael Moorcock's books featuring eternal champions like Elric of Melnibone, Erekose, Corum, Jarik Carnelian, Jerry Cornelius, and many others that shaped the Moorcock multiverse.

 

In fact Michael Moorcock's books helped shape RPG lore for Dungeons and Dragons and all sorts of cool stuff. As far as I know he was the first one to really use the Symbol of Chaos.

SYMBOL OF CHAOS was Moorcock's invention.



If there is a city of chaos, then at least one street should be named in honor of his work. Xiombarg street, Arioch plaza. (I'm joking)
How about just Stormbringer as a name of a road if there is a city of chaos? At least one honorable mention is worth it. regardless what town it is. A lot of oldschool fans will get the refrences.

 

I'd be delighted if just something would be called Seneca. And SotA should do it just because it's a good name
