More Social Items to Equip

Idea
We are able to equip mugs in our weapon hand, while in social mode...how about if we could have even more items to equip.



Items
A range of items, with just a few suggestions here in the following list. This is the sort of thing that can be indefinitely expanded upon, like hats.

Function
Just for fun, for more immersion, for playing host and hostess, for a different look.

 

I really like the looking glass for this reason.

Also please let us dual wield in social settings as well.

Plus let us have drunken mug fights.

More items:
Notebook & quill (for scribe skill and cartography skills)
Duster (for staff/servants)
Purse (for that alms to the poor emote - you fill a purse with gold, then do the emote to hand it out)
Shield (what better way to display your coat of arms than on a shield for social settings)
Etc

 

Pillow fights!

 

Yes please.

Slippery Pole Pillow Fights over rivers and mud creeks.
With stun effects to knock each other into said river/mud.

 

Flowers, bouquets, etc.

 

Pipes, bags, canes/walking sticks, pets (holding them or having them sit on you), umbrellas, frying pans, forks/spoons/knives...

Great thoughts here! I love the ability to equip things and have more things in the world have function.

 

I have to say I really love this thread. Being able to equip items like flowers, perhaps coming to someones door with a bouquet of flowers that would be awesome, even a give flowers emote with the flowers coming into your characters hand, or perhaps as with the drinking emote
equipping the flowers to show when you do the emote.

 

Flowers for my hair for dress-up occasions. Just one over one ear would suffice.

 

When Spoon said "Duster" I for a split second thought Gunman's Duster, until I read "(For staff/servants)", then thought oh, dusting, for dust.

social equipable items:

-alchemy bottles/potion bottles

-handheld lanterns

-Since this game will have inclement weather, we finally have a good reason for hand held umbrellas and parasols and fans!

-picnic baskets, like little red riding hood, basket of bread or flowers.. great if we could hand a filled basket to our vendor to hold while they are selling too.


-scrolls, our hats

Yes I would definitely like to equip her.

 

Food would also be nice to have it in a hand like apple, piece of cake and so on

 

Also, lots of equippable social items should have custom idle animations, so that if you have a handheld fan equipped, you idly fan yourself with it.

In that vein, I think that people who have mugs equipped should automatically drink from them as an idle animation, with less elaboration than /drink. (a sip, no sleeve-wipe)

Alternately, same emotes could have alternate versions when items are equipped. /Slap could look different if you have a mug, fish, pillow, cane, or other item equipped.

 

What we need are equip-able off hand boots that we can throw at each other!
