What the heck does THAT have to do with anything? Because an outlander exists in-game the entire population of the world should change their culture and stop using runic text on signs?

I see that a lot of people misunderstood my post.

In the game right now R16 you can see the tooltip over signs. Like this:
You hover with your mouse over the sign and if it goes "green" and you hover then you get a tooltip for it.

They are a bit buggy right now, and well were obviously put up by murderers, but still....

So that is the plan going forward. All signs will be in Runic, however if you hover over them you will get them in English (or your local language where appropriate)...

So no need for this argument, it's already in the game and getting fleshed out more and more.

He was making a reference to Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. One of home I believe is named Happy. Therefor the other six are not Happy.

Well we aren't talking about sentences, just street names. So any of the above would work. I would just require to be uniform throughout the POT.

A man is driving through an intersection when the side of his car was hit by a truck. as the man is getting out to examine the damage on his car, a dwarf gets out of the truck, looks at the damage on his truck and exclaims I'M NOT HAPPY!!! I'M NOT HAPPY!!! So the man then says "Well then, which one are you?"

There seems to be a disparity between old school gamers and modern day gamers. Or is it just between MMO and traditional single player gaming? Back in the day immersion was what it was all about in a good RPG.

I actually agree with Budner here, maybe for different reasons but seriously, why would I put my shop sign in runic when I know most don't know it? if we are talking about writings or signs deep within an ancient dungeon that's different but if I go to a resteraunt and can't read the menu because in in runic I'm just going to get up and leave......
