I had posted this in another thread, but I fear the post has sunk to the bottom of the pond. So I am going to re-post here the instructions on how to tell Nvidia to add SotA to its list of games.

Why would we want this, you ask? Because Nvidia has an *awesome* video recording feature which is built right into its higher level GeForce graphics cards. It is stupid that they can give the option of recording to Grand Theft Auto and not SotA! So. If you have an Nvidia GeForce graphics card (like in an Alienware machine, but others have it as well), here is how you tell them to add it:

If you open up your GeForce Experience, and search for games under the Games tab, in the lower right hand corner there is a small button which says "Send Feedback."

When you click on that it opens up a mail type of popup.
Under the top "category" Choose "Game Detection and Support."
Then it will give you another drop down to choose a Sub-Category. At the very bottom of that is "Suggest A Game We Should Support."
After that it will have you point to where the program is on your computer.

Then they give you 2,000 characters to tell them why we want them to support SotA! I touted that Alienware and Razer already support the game and that it already has Steam Achievements. We need to inundate these folks with requests for SotA.

    - *steps down from SotA activist soapbox*

This is a great idea! I never knew about this feature so thank you for posting. One update, in my Geforce Experience app the Send Feedback button is in the bottom right of the window all the time. I did not have to go to my games tab or search for the game.

Here is what I sent them:

    Thanks, Mata!

lol, that's okay Roger36. Whenever you think of upgrading you might wish to look at the ShadowPlay feature that GeForce has. If you set it up properly, it will allow you to capture the *preceding* 20 minutes worth of gameplay on video! So if something happens where you say to yourself, "I wish I had been recording that!" you can actually go back and get it. A pretty amazing feature. And since this is running directly off of the graphics card, it doesn't appear to slow down gameplay at all.

That shadowplay looks like a very cool feature!

I love AMD for processors, but did not like the Radeon products which they acquired when they bought ATI. However, the rumor is they are up for sale with Samsung being a key suitor. That has me cautious for any new AMD purchases.

I THINK you can also mention that it's being developed on nvidia cards; i remember seeing a dev post somewhere that none of them use amd cards.

That would be cool. I don't know if they will ask my question (because it's a bit off- topic), but I did submit a question for today's hangout asking if they would contact Nvidia and ask them to add SotA.

I wish there were better customization with the optimization settings. Like, it will almost always recommend fullscreen mode for all "optimized" games, even if the game is perfectly fine (60+ fps) in borderless windowed mode. I almost never play in fullscreen if I can avoid it. I can manually configure the settings per game, but I can't do it globally, unless I'm missing something.

In any case, shouldn't be too difficult for them to do, as SotA settings are all exposed in the Registry.

I would also propose that Portalarium could also ping their partners Alienware and Razer, who both feature NVIDIA GPUs quite heavily in their products. We might get a quicker response using two very high profile OEMs than a couple dozen end users.

And to be fair, there's also AMD Gaming Evolved, but the last time I checked (months ago), they also didn't support SotA.
