Chainable CC has been the bane of all MMO's from as far back as I can remember. Paralyse/Lightning bolt was the "I win" combo in the early UO days, chain stun from dwarf healers in DAOC, and more.

Right now, I'm not PVP-ing, so I can't speak to what's going on there, but just trying to kill spiders can be annoying. Their root attack is chainable, and can stick you for quite some time, even low-level spiders can root high-level players for seemingly eons.

I'd love to see immunity to CC once you've been successfully hit by it, for perhaps 30 seconds or so. With that, the impact of the CC is still felt, and valid, but won't completely annoy or debilitate players who have to sit and do nothing for long periods while they wait to die.

Jumping and receiving damage break most roots and stuns. Have you tried jumping when you get rooted?

Besides what DS says about jumping out of webs, notice that when you're hit by a stun you gain a temporary buff that raises your stun resistance.

I don't know if it's working exactly as intended, but the mechanic is there.

Captain Jack would prefer that the hold mechanism itself be an actor. He could pour his rum on it and set it alight or chop at it with this here sword! Captain Jack hates jumping and falling on his face.

I haven't tested this out in a while, but I'm assuming that CC type spells like Moon Beams (edit: Dazzling rays) or whatever it's called still work like this....

These are R15 videos by Bambino. They show what the OP is talking about - I believe. The ability to chain your stuns, then stack up a powerful attack and your opponent is just forced to lose. This is one of the many reason I don't bother leveling or engaging in pvp. Unplayable mechanics (currently).

Did anyone ever write up a bug for it? I thought that was done by Bambino in R15, but I could be mistaken.
