Amen! I have assumed they are holding back on the physical items until they have vendors in place for manufacturing and shipping. They will obvious need a vendor for the physical goods for the Kickstarter stuff, so I imagine as that get ironed out we should get some better physical items in the store.

Let us use the next PotA to design a shirt and then we can bye it in the store.

My first slogan for a t-shirt:

    back of shirt:

    Massively was yesterday!
    ---- I want choice! -------

    front of shirt:

    ---------I am thee Avatar!--------------

    Selective Multiplayer ww.shroudoftheavatar.com

    -------------I play it my way!--------------------

Any chance I can get a polo or button-down shirt instead? With an embroidery logo that isn't too big so I can wear it to the office. T-shirts are a bit too college...

For a small polo style logo what I would do is grab a pack of printable iron on transfers, print out some of the SotA logos, like the shield with cross I think would be perfect. Can probably do about 10-20 per page. Cut em out and iron on, can probably do 10 shirts in under 20-30 minutes, and cost is negligible. Ive thought about doing this with my personal avatar logo for my work polo style shirts. Iron on transfers self printed can be a pain to get to work properly when doing large pieces, but for something that small it should transfer fairly well with minimal effort.

Yeah, but then it looks just like you described, like I'm printing logos on my own shirts. I'd like a professional looking embroidery logo.

At-home iron ons are not durable in my experience :( It also depends on the polo shirt in question... if its not a smooth kind of fabric, not even sure if it would stick properly? Never did one on a polo...

Would like to see screen printed shirts :)

Gotcha, Embroidery is a whole different ball game. You COULD still have those done yourself though if you wanted. Just wouldn't be an "official" shirt, but the price would be a LOT less.

There's tricks to home-iron on's. The first is buy a higher cost and dependable brand (stay away from the cheapies). Second trick is after you run the iron over it a few times, switch to a heat gun and apply hotter more even heat from the heat gun, then quickly go back over with the iron. the higher heat from the heat gun makes a smoother and longer lasting transfer. When washing them use cold/cold setting and a delicate setting, and turn them inside out before putting them in. Air drying highly recommended but not a requirement.

Following those steps, will last longer then a silkscreen in my experience. I've made about 6 runs of silk screened shirts and things over the years for my game club, using different companies. They all died very quickly. Ones ive made myself lasted a LOT longer and couldn't tell a difference in quality. Cost was much lower but there was more work involved, so its a huge personal preference.

Thanks for the iron on info! Will copy that down if I do one again. :)

When I was thinking of screening, I was thinking along the lines of teefury's prints. Haven't had a problem with any of them yet. Can't speak of the quality of personalization places, that is sad :(

Yeah, my wife had a 500.00 print run decently for a bunch of shitrs and pullovers for a club she belongs to. Fading started occurring right away, was kind of disappointing. Now when I fire up my sewing machine.... *blinks and coughs* err... I mean I know nothing at all about sewing machines... I'm going to go grab a hammer now and fix something....

If there are tee shirts hopefully they will be high quality items. I bought a Blizzard shirt that fell apart after two washes. My old UO Third Dawn shirt still fits and is very much wearable after 11 or 12+ years.

Merch is being worked on. These things take time to complete when dealing with actual merch companies (not something like cafepress). Patience, it will come soon. :)
