Click the recipes button to open up your book they should be listed there, it's basically the same as the ingot recipe but substituting four pieces of scrap for each ingot ore of which you need at least one, so you can do either: 1 x ore 12 x scrap 2 x ore 8 x scrap 3 x ore 4 x scrap
No, there is not. I believe the idea behind the "Metal Scrap" is that they are too diluted to be used solely on their own. You need to mix it with some pure ore to produce something usable. There are other salvage operations that produce "Iron Scrap", which can be used on its own to produce ingots, without the additional ore.
Except metal scraps will always be way more pure than ore. I believe ore is a fairly unrefined substance. It's why smelting exists to begin with. Its not like ore is a yeast culture. I think being able to make ingots out of scraps alone is completely reasonable.
It is pure metal yes, but *what* metal ? Since it can be used to produce both "Iron" or "Copper", I expect it is supposed to represent some combination of the two. A less "pure" version of the regular scraps.
Being the first iteration of salvage I suspect these recipes will be temportary. What's really starting to grate on my nerves is wood scape. It's not like you can just glue it back together or something. We'll have to see how it develops.
It's the magic ingredient in SotA smelting. A scrap that is everything and nothing at the same time! What about a precious metal scrap that can be both silver or gold? Id love me some of that too! I believe I know how Duke Raas made his success in this strange new world. He has the midas touch! P.S. We still need to go for a beer.
No particle board or MDF in SotA? I do think the wood scraps are unlikely. Make arrows out of all of it!
I was thinking firewood myself. depending on what you're salvaging.. poles can salvage down to handles.. apart from that? But putting scraps together to get timber? That's right up there with needing 10 timber to make a bowstave!
Appanrelt there is metal scrap, iron scrap and copper scrap. Or will be.. or.. whatever. Note that the image shown is specifically for iron and copper scrap.. but what's being talked about is metal scrap.
