Started Playing around today and Focus needs ALOT of help

There is nothing that increases focus regen like Healthy works on Health Regen.

Today I ran out with old template (Archer / Tamer) to play around / test out, I have tamed a Wolf (Lost Obs Bear) and the focus loss reduction was nice but NOT enough.

I have to dismiss pet in order to have ANY focus left to be able to fire bow or cast spells. All I have are the first two shots and Earth and Ice Fists, as well as some Light Armor moves.

After about 2 minutes inot a fight I am OUT of focus and have to run around like a maniac until I can get of any one skill.

Not very good.

I know I could have hit a gust ball but to me that is pathetic.

 

Yea I ran out of focus trying to kill a wolf, had to run out cause I could not kill it with bow....

 

I had the thought of maybe two focus types - one for actions one for spells?

 

Sad to report that even with an Int of 30, focus drains faster than regen with a pet summoned - so my mage is not sustainable. I do recover if I'm out of combat mode, but...

I disagree, i like that we have to use our focus more tactically, i feel that a lot forget how spoiled they've been in previous releases, i found nothing challenging about slaughtering whole packs of elves with out ever even having to consider how much focus i'm using. now i have to choose my glyphs more carefully as well as when to use them.

 

I believe it does. Just an Int of 30 isn't enough. At 32 now (focus 171) and can kind of play with a pet, so long as I toggle out of combat mode to chop a tree or something about half the time.

Biggest downside is the time it takes to reload my attack bar.
