There was a SMALL explanation, (kina of ) in the hang out at 1:25 And stated that more information coming soon

What I got was Resist actually results in NO damage , absorb ????

They where pretty roasted by the , soo keep asking I would really like a SIMPLE answer also, not this goofy number junk :)

As of now I would look at Ressit as better than avoid thow.

And even more when skills chage in 21 even more differences and explanations wil be needed :-(

It makes sense. Wearing heavy armor you will absorb impact while those light on their feet will want to avoid the blows entirely.

I personally value damage resistance a lot more than damage avoidance o_O I wear leather armor because of my archer/mage build. I know I am going to get hit (no matter how high my damage avoidance is...) and it is going to hurt bad  The less damage I receive, the better ;) (Thank heavens for crafted armor :D)

i am a mele fighter i have full white iron plate i went with str first then damage ovidence, in my opinion anytime i can create i miss is far better than taking damage.

these are my stats in game using v and actually adding up the specials on the suit
    plus 33 str (116 health point}
    @ lvl 60 i have 470 health
    16 damage avoidance
    41.563 damage resistance

i can boost that number by spell specials but i like base numbers first

    with no armor on

    health is 354 @ lvl 60
    4 damage avoidance
    9.875 damage resistance

health regn stayed the same at .030 with and without armor on

It seems strange to me that atm damage avoidance is up scaling the further you go up in armour class ie iron armour has higher avoidance than cloth.

Yes, I tend to agree. I think until you can get your avoidance to a reliable level to avoid most attacks, then a higher sustained reduction will always be better. But then again, I'm not a stats person!
