    I had many friends who roleplayed drow in UO and that makes me partial to dark elves. I have to say personally I would love to play a gargoyle :).

    A 'monster' character slot where every time you login your spirit possesses a random monster and your mission is to eat the flesh of players, animals and other monsters. Every time you eat a chunk of flesh from one of your kills, you upgrade yourself into something more terrifying until you achieve your ultimate goal - permanence. Your consciousness will take form once again in a permanent body, and what that body is, will be up to you. You must complete missions from the underworld and wreck havoc upon the land, satisfying the ancient and terrible gods who have been long forgotten. But just one death, and you start over.

    Or perhaps just Orcs. Orcs that build Orc Forts. And the ability to construct the orc forts piece by piece (ala mine craft, tree of life, etc)

    Here is the use:
    "The dwarfs home was grand."
    "The dwarves charged the battle field."

    One is used in conjunction with an adjective or verb and the other is used in conjunction with a noun. :)

    Well, the dwarf's house should have an apostrophe, to show possession.

    Dwarfs vs. Dwarves is referring to whether more than one dwarf should be spelled which way.. and most feel like it's okay to be either. Just like elfs vs. elves.
