Agh R24 already?!?

I thought they're usually the last Thursday of the month and it would be next week
First time I've not got the hat, I was still training up to be able to survive the Tower :'( :'( and it was such a cool one this time.
Well, I've been struggling to dedicate much time to playing lately so maybe this is a sign I should quit for a while... can't keep up with the pace of change heh

 

Next week will be Thanksgiving though for us here so I think they wanted to take some time off maybe?

 

That's understandable... just wish the releases were announced earlier than a few hours before they hit. If I hadn't just started a new job today I would have seen the email in the morning and probably had time to log in and blast through the last guide. I'm just moaning though, it's not like I regularly check the release schedule and remember key upcoming dates.

 

Might want to keep the quarterly schedule on hand - thinks she remembers it comes with dates on when these releases are planned to be upped - or something like that.

 

They did announce it, you just didn't see it. Next month will be a week early as well.

 

Well !@#$, that means I didn't get the hat either.

Oh well, congrats to whoever power-leveled their avatars. I'm just waiting for them to put a Tour Guide in the lava and call that an homage to Ultima 4.

P.S.- Yes, I'm kind of bitter about this.

 

I play solo on a single pc - I still got my hat, though? Was around 2x-ish?

 

I was level 9 and completed the hat quest. Sure died a few tries, but didn't take but half hour total even with that.

Yep, almost missed it myself. Thankfully I got the notification email @ about 10:30 last night. I'm truly sorry you guys missed it. I would have been crushed if it were me, so I can completely empathize.

Probably not? If you follow the link above by smack, it mentions a full wipe on release 23 but not for 24 and 25. Maybe a mini-wipe, if they need, yes?

 

Most tours don't need much, if any, levelling.

Do your first basic quests to get a bit of a headstart then get straight into the tour guide quest. No need to delay.

 

I did the Tower with a starter character. I always do the Tour Quests with a starter character because I am too lazy to level. I just put on my leather armor and run. I die a lot, but I don't give up.

 

you can still buy the add-on store version of the hat you missed.. that's what I did. Eases the blow of feeling like I missed out a little bit..

The weekly newsletter is a good source to know, what is going on - its always a reliable source to figure out when a release ends. Although - you need to read it
