If you build it, Dukes will buy.

I've been keeping my eye on the add-on store for a Keep Arena basement. If it is released, I will buy one.

* I know there are other threads on this topic, but I didn't want to resurrect a thread that wasn't specific to it.

Heavens that is a no brainer, if they don't make a arena basement for Dukes I will be very pissed.

 

A little late to the table on this one, but I too would like to see some of the love extended to the Dukes. Village, Town, City and ... Castle? @Chris @DarkStarr Any word on this being a future feature? I am good with a it will come, but would be nice to know. Otherwise keep up the good work.

 

I know there was previous discussions in the past and it was very much, NFE1 (not for episode 1 (launch).

However, I still would like to see this as well.

I'm planning on using the 2 level basement that comes with the pledge. The 5 level one looks overwhelming for a single player house, while being perfect for a guild house.

If indeed a Keep Arena basement were made available, I would absolutely buy it (well, as long as it were priced similarly to other basements - not going to fork out $300 for a basement, for example). Considering the current sale on 5-Story Keep Basement, I would really like to know if this is "ever" planned (even if not for Ep1).

 

When it was asked it one of the post-mortems, they said it was on their radar but they needed to work on the game systems to get closed to alpha before they would add more buildings/basements. Hopefully it will get in there sooner or later.

 

Chris stated that no keep level area basement was an oversight of some sort and that it would eventually happen. This was from a public IRC conversation last week.

I will purchase an Arena Keep Basement.

What I am hoping for is an above ground arena for the castle. I have the castle arena basement, but since I have yet to secure a castle lot, I don't even know if I will keep it. But the above ground arena is a definite yes. Right, now we have to use blocks to build it and it does not render from a distance like the houses do.

 

Necroing my plea for a Keep arena basement because I haven't seen any discussion or traction on it in a while.

Many people felt the city was too small and the castle arena too large. Please allow Dukes the opportunity for an arena basement.

Just give us the castle one and we will forgive the oversight. It is, after all, underground.

 

I'll buy it. And i hope duke will have more than a 5 straigh basement.... all other pledge have couple choice and we're stuck with this 5 stage basement....

Can they just take the castle arena, stripe off some surrounding rooms, and scale down the fight area so that it will fit keep lot? No need to be any more fancy than the existing arena basements.

 

I spoke to @DarkStarr today, and he mentioned that they are indeed planning to build one... but it may still be a long ways off. Definitely not before July (final wipe), and "maybe" before Episode 1.

Perhaps with enough pressure and enough votes of "I'd tap buy that," and who know? Maybe they would decide that the quick cash increase for the amount of effort will be worth it short-term. But we must keep in mind, that there are only so many days in a year. Only so many days.
