I pledged at a high enough level to get a custom crest.
How and when do I submit it?
A few threads seem to say the process will be determined in the future, but I didn't find any sort of official word on it.

    Thanks

FYI, I was thinking of something like this.
It is an image I made and have been using for a while (but this is the first time I put it on a shield shaped background)

    Maybe this link works better:

I guess I don't know how to let it be seen here, but it is the same image my forum avatar (icon?) is.

    petritis,
We are unsure how the designs will be created in game. We are trying to get everyone decided on a design they like that fits within the heraldry rules (as adapted by RG) and create a design of suitable resolution that Portalarium can use. The image you have shows that bright pink. We cannot use that.

The link shows the colors we can use. Keep in mind you cannot place a like color on top of a like color. No light color on top of a light color etc.
The design itself is simple and easily created.

The best place to look is The College of Arms sub forum & start with the About the College of Arms post.
    Here you go.

We're still suppose to be able to create these in game at some point aye? Or is it just through the College of arms people now?

What is wrong with pink? It is already in the game...

There is nothing wrong with dying cloth pink. The problem lies in the rules of heraldry, in which colors have meaning. So for a coat of arms, pink is not a valid hue.

It would be confusing on a battlefield for someone to wear a red lion, and try to distinguish between it and a pink lion. The red could become dyed in the sun, making them hard to tell at a distance.

Sure, it is a game so that isn't a concern here. However, the College of Arms is using rules based on those Richard wanted to enforce. The same rules from his days in the SCA, etc.

Sorry but I do not understand the color on top of another color.
    Do you mean adjacent?
If you do not, then could there be a light color on top of a light color if the top most light color was surrounded by a dark color, for example a white background with a black outline of a lion, but with the lion itself being yellow. ( or if you prefer, use argent for white, azure for the outline, and argent for the lion.

Is there a more detailed description of what is allowable?
