I am running windows 10 and have been able to play until the R26 update.
i will attempt to run it in compatability mode for windows 8 and see if that works.

My windows 10 works fine here using Steam to login. The update happened about 1 1/2 hour before R26 went live.

I have not yet installed any update today.

Are you using steam client? Have you try the usual verify file integrity stuff?

Can you launch the client at all? If it crash when you launch, there should be a folder create inside the game folder which has crash dump information...

Also... have you tried restarted your machine? I ran into some weird memory access violation crash last time and it went away after the hard reset.

I am Not using Steam. I Have been playing through R25. Since R26, once I enter my user name and password and click 'Enter Game' (the game then says 'Connecting...') within 2 seconds Windows says that ' ... it has found a problem with.... and will close the game program.' This happened repeatedly to my dismay. At first I tried repairing the SOTA installation, Then I uninstalled and Re installed and re-patched, Still no Change... My Laptop is only a month old so I tried a system restore to earlier date (in case I had done something that might have caused the problem) Still Same Problem. So I did a complete Wipe and Re Installation of Windows 10. Didn't update. Installed SOTA, Patched. Same thing Still Happening, so I did my few updates and... STILL SAME $%*!$ PROBLEM!!! lol, HELP! I Love This Game, And Id Love to be Playing right Now.

Caligastia, on the launcher screen click on options, then unclick the windows 64 build,,,that solved my problem.
