Grand Tour

Has anyone completed it ? Im stuck and cant find the tour guide inNorth Varisalla foothills its a huge area and I just dont know where to find the good man please help

found him by accident. running from a about 5 bow men shooting at me .once i spotted him ressurected at ank near by . I didn't find this tour to difficult . The hard tours where when the guide is indoors and you can't just ghost to find them.

Well nether did I after I found the guide by chance and after multiple deaths

 

It took me multiple deaths before I heard in guild chat where the crier was located. Still glad I stuck it out though as it is my first hat and the last hat quest.

 

This was the first Tour Guide quest I finished on my own in a long time. I'm glad they're done after this release.

 

Yes I found this one alot easier (beginner friendly)

 

Do you know if they will be pushing other incentive based exploration for players in the final few releases we have left before final wipe?

 

I don't know for sure, they haven't said they won't. But the reason they gave for stopping it was so they could concentrate on polishing up the game. So I assume this is the end of that kind of incentive, at least for Episode I.

 

Honestly, most of them were kinda lackluster anyhow. Not to mention most can not be dyed. I wish they would of made them dyable and enchantable so at least they had some use to them.

 

everytime I looked for the crier in Soltown, all I found was a skeleton. Does he move? I can't seem to locate to begin this one.

This one was so inspiring, I managed it solo.

 

There is no tour guide in Soltown in this release. You can start the quest at any one of the 4 Tour Guides.

Entrance to the town of Aerie.
Entrance to the town of Resolute.
North Varisalla Foothills: At the west exit. There is an ankh there, so you can run there as a ghost.
Sanctus Spine: South exit.

 

I am going to soooo miss the hat quests For me there were fun and I looked forward to them each time. My favorite thing to do is to wander around and try to out think the dev's sneakiness hehehe

 

Going to a town you've never been to before (which you didn't know you had to go, since the guy in Soltown directs you to the wrong town) in a area that's so far away from Ardoris surrounded by monsters you can't possibly kill unless you level up a LOT, I hardly consider that beginner friendly.

With that said, they were pretty generous on the placement of the Tour Guides. One of them was literally next to your spawn location. So, yes, despite what I said I agree with the "a lot easier" statement.

I've always hated the hat quests. Neat concept but really, really bad execution.
